Raashii Khanna is officially back in the world of Farzi. The actress has started shooting for the second season of the popular crime thriller, returning as RBI Officer Megha Vyas. She shared a series of pictures from the sets on Thursday, giving fans a glimpse of her work on the upcoming season.
In the first picture, Raashii was seen enjoying a crunchy hot mocha grande with almond milk while sitting near her vanity. Another picture showed the actress smiling at the camera as she got her makeup done. The album also included a picture of Raashii holding a 500 rupee note, which appeared to connect with the central theme of the series.
Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Raashii wrote, “Crunchy red hat mocha grande with almond milk for..? #backatit #farzi2 (sic)”. Her post confirmed that she has joined the ongoing production of the second season.
Shahid Kapoor, who plays the lead character Sunny, had already started shooting for Farzi 2 in March this year. At the time, he shared a black and white picture with the show’s creators Raj Nidimoru and Krishna Dasarakothapalli. He captioned the post, “Farzi 2 day 1… back at it!!!”
Earlier in February, Shahid had also confirmed that the second season was in development. Sharing another picture with Raj and Krishna on his Instagram Stories, he wrote, “The fakers are back at it.”
Created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna Dasarakothapalli, Farzi features Shahid Kapoor, Raashii Khanna, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra and Amol Palekar among others.
The first season premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 10 February 2023 and received a positive response from viewers. The eight episode series followed Sunny, a small time con artist played by Shahid Kapoor, who gets pulled into the dangerous world of crime after discovering a way to create fake currency.
With Shahid and Raashii now back on the sets, production for Farzi 2 is clearly moving ahead, although the makers have not yet revealed the complete storyline or release date.
