The events surrounding Mica’s final weeks and the questions raised after her death are now being examined in a new three part Netflix documentary series titled Death Of The Pastor’s Wife. The series is scheduled to premiere on August 26 and looks at the events that happened before Mica’s death as well as the continuing efforts to understand what happened.
According to Netflix, the documentary includes never before seen footage and accounts from Mica’s friends and family members. Some of them are speaking publicly about the case for the first time, offering their perspectives on Mica, her relationships and the events that unfolded before her death.
The documentary is directed by Julia Willoughby Nason and Mike Gasparro, who have previously worked on true crime projects including Murdaugh Murders and American Murder: Gabby Petito. Their work has focused on cases that received significant public attention and raised questions about the circumstances surrounding deaths.
The executive producing team includes Tom Cappello, Alana Goldstein and Keely Walker Muse from Crazy Legs Productions. Nason and Gasparro serve as executive producers through The Cinemart, while Yotam Guendelman is also an executive producer through Silvio Productions.
Death Of The Pastor’s Wife is expected to examine the timeline leading up to Mica’s death and the questions raised by people close to her. The series will also look at the search for answers that has continued since April 2024.
