Krishnavataram Part 1 Continues Steady Run As Film Crosses Rs. 25 Crore In India

Krishnavataram Part 1 earns Rs. 25 crore in 17 days and continues a stable box office run despite having no major stars before release.

Krishnavataram Part 1: Hridayam continued its stable run at the Indian box office during its third weekend. The film added Rs. 3.75 crore to its total collection over the weekend, with Sunday alone contributing Rs. 1.75 crore. After 17 days in theatres, including preview shows, the movie has now reached the Rs. 25 crore nett mark in Hindi.

Apart from its Hindi version, the film also collected around Rs. 3 crore nett from its dubbed versions released in South Indian languages. The movie has managed to maintain steady collections throughout its theatrical run, even though it started with limited awareness before release.

The mythological fantasy drama stars Siddharth Gupta and Sanskruti Jayana in lead roles. Based on current box office trends, trade experts expect the film to finish its third week with collections between Rs. 5.50 crore and Rs. 6 crore. If the pace continues, the movie could end its full theatrical run with a final collection between Rs. 30 crore and Rs. 35 crore.

Industry observers consider this performance impressive because the film did not feature major stars and had very little buzz before release. In fact, many viewers became aware of the movie only after its trailer was launched online.

The trailer of Krishnavataram Part 1 received attention mainly because of its large scale visuals and mythological theme. Since the story is connected to a religious figure, audiences showed curiosity despite the lack of well known actors. However, reports suggest that the film was mounted on a relatively high budget because of its visual effects and scale. Due to those production costs, the movie would have required even stronger box office collections to emerge as a major commercial success.

The box office collections for Krishnavataram Part 1: Hridayam in Hindi are as follows:

Week 1: Rs. 11.75 crore
Week 2: Rs. 9.50 crore

3rd Friday: Rs. 0.65 crore
3rd Saturday: Rs. 1.35 crore
3rd Sunday: Rs. 1.75 crore

Total Collection: Rs. 25.00 crore
