Michael Continues Strong Box Office Run In India After 4 Weeks

Michael collected Rs. 77.15 crore in India after 4 weeks, continuing its steady run and emerging as one of Hollywood’s successful releases this year.

Michael completed 4 weeks at the Indian box office with a total collection of Rs. 77.15 crore gross. The film added around Rs. 7.50 crore during its fourth week, including nearly Rs. 3.60 crore from weekdays. The biographical musical drama based on the life of Michael Jackson witnessed a drop of around 40 per cent compared to the previous week. Trade analysts consider this a strong hold, especially for a Hollywood film entering its fourth week in theatres.

Starring Jaafar Jackson in the lead role, the movie is now expected to cross the Rs. 80 crore mark in India during the coming week. Reports suggest the film may continue its theatrical run for a few more weeks, though collections are expected to remain at lower levels.

The movie opened with a strong first week collection of Rs. 31.25 crore. In the second week, it earned Rs. 20.50 crore, followed by Rs. 13 crore in the third week. The fourth week contributed Rs. 7.50 crore, taking the total to Rs. 77.15 crore gross after 28 days.

Michael has now become one of the successful Hollywood releases in India this year. Trade reports also point out that Hollywood films have shown surprisingly strong performance in the Indian market recently.

Along with Michael, films like Project Hail Mary and The Mummy have also performed well in India within a short period of time. Meanwhile, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is also reportedly maintaining decent collections.

What makes these performances notable is that most of these films are not part of major franchise driven properties, which usually dominate the Hollywood market in India. Industry experts believe this trend could make 2026 a strong year for Hollywood films in the country, especially if more unexpected successes continue to emerge at the box office.
