After a two-year wait, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is set to return with its much-awaited second season. The makers dropped a gripping trailer on Wednesday, promising even more drama, action, and suspense than before. The two-minute teaser picks up right from the cliffhanger of Season 1, in which Purva (Anchal Singh) was abducted, shockingly. Familiar faces Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi, and Anchal Singh return to their roles while Gurmeet Choudhary joins the ensemble as Purva’s ally, Guru.
The trailer opens with Purva taken to a mysterious place and sets the tone for a high-stakes narrative. Simultaneously, the consequences of Vikrant’s complex and toxic relationship with Purva undergo Vikrant’s struggle. Expecting that with Purva away, Vikrant would now be able to be with Shikha, as he thinks, Vikrant’s moral compass spirals when the kidnapper demands a ransom of ₹100 crore. In a cold declaration, he says, “Vo vaapis aa gayi to sab khatam. Usey marna hoga” (“If she comes back, it is over. She has to be killed”).
As Guru rises to defend Purva, Vikrant grapples with his conscience. Contemplating his situation, he says, “Maarne hum Purva ko nikle the. Par ab marna hamara tayy tha” (I had come to kill Purva, but now it is my turn to die). The trailer climaxes with an intense action sequence and Vikrant’s poignant realization that, despite his machinations against Purva, he is now lost and directionless.
The makers shared the trailer of YKK2 on Instagram, captioning it: “Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anchal Singh, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, and Gurmeet Choudhary return in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein! A tale of three hearts bound by fate witness Vikrant, Purva, and Shikha’s lives collide, with Guru’s entry raising the stakes. Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2 arrives on 22 November, only on Netflix!”
