Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will begin shooting for the two most-awaited movies of 2026. It is a love story being made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it also features Alia Bhatt in a key role. She failed to turn up however since she wasn’t seen at the Mumbai airport Monday morning when Ranbir and Vicky were spotted getting ready to shoot.
Two stars were spotted recently at the airport, each carrying a look for his respective film. Vicky Kaushal was spotted sporting a moustache as part of his new look in the movie while donning beige baggy pants and an olive green shirt, almost identical to the getup he sported at Karwa Chauth celebrations with wife Katrina Kaif. Ranbir opted for a very casual look, wearing a black tee with a blue jacket and loose track pants.
Love and War marks the second Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie starring both Ranbir and Alia Bhatt. While the critically acclaimed film would be Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022) that fetched Alia, a National Award for the Best Actress, *Love and War* is originally to be released on Christmas time in 2025 that has been postponed for its release on March 20, 2026. The plot has yet not been known and one guesses about the story.
In the post, the film is officially announced: “We Bring You Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Epic Saga ‘Love & War.’ See You At The Movies Christmas 2025.” Bhansali and Alia have their grand reunion with Ranbir again but with Vicky in it this time. All in all, the anticipation was already set pretty high even before the news had people wanting to know more information and the date when this big movie will hit theaters.
Another notable addition to the list of cast members for Love and War will be Alia Bhatt, who has just made an appearance in Vasan Bala’s Jigra. After that, there is a string of high-profile projects awaiting her after the critically acclaimed stint of hers in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Fans are excited about how Love and War would shape up under Bhansali’s penchant for grand narratives and epic storytelling.
