Virat Kohli was at the center of celebrations after Royal Challengers Bengaluru successfully defended their IPL title with a five wicket victory over Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
After the win, a video shared by RCB on social media quickly gained attention among fans. The clip showed Kohli celebrating with his wife Anushka Sharma, Dinesh Karthik and other members of the squad. The joyful dance and celebrations soon went viral, giving supporters another memorable moment from a successful season for the franchise.
RCB produced a strong performance in the final to chase down a target of 156 in just 18 overs. Kohli led the effort with an unbeaten 75, playing a key role in helping the team secure its second IPL title and a second consecutive championship.
Speaking after the match, Kohli reflected on what the victory meant to him.
“(It is the) stuff you dream of. (I) thought of this moment many times, wanting to hit the winning run,” Kohli said at the post match presentation ceremony.

The veteran batter also spoke about how the changing nature of the game and the emergence of younger players have influenced his approach. During the conversation, he made an indirect reference to 15 year old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and the impact young cricketers have had on experienced players.
Asked about his 25 ball half century, Kohli explained how the competition from the younger generation has encouraged him to adapt.
“Such is the demand (that) super young players (are) pushing you to up the ante,” he said in jest, but the seriousness of his statement wasn’t lost on anyone.
“I had to change my mindset, not my game so much, take on bowlers and get extra runs,” he added.
Kohli also highlighted the team’s collective effort throughout the tournament. He pointed out that in the first 10 matches of the season, eight different players won the Player of the Match award, showing that success was shared across the squad rather than depending on a single individual.
“We’ve had to wait for so long and then, just to have a group of guys where you feel like you’re stepping onto the ground, you don’t need to be the one to step up every time,” Kohli said.
