Akshay Kumar Reveals His Per Day Earnings From Early Career

Akshay Kumar reveals he earned 8 to 9 lakh per day earlier while discussing old payment systems and his current film Bhooth Bangla.

Akshay Kumar recently spoke about how actors were paid in earlier years of the film industry. In a conversation, he shared that there was a time when actors were not given a fixed lump sum amount for a film. Instead, they were paid based on the number of days they worked.

Talking about his own experience, Akshay Kumar said that he used to earn around 8 to 9 lakh rupees per day. He shared, “Uss time mujhe achhe khaase mil jaate thay, din ka mil jata tha 8 se 9 lakh rupee.” (Back then, I used to get a pretty good amount; I would earn around Rs 8 to Rs 9 lakh per day). He mentioned that this was during the time he worked on the film Jaani Dushman Ek Anokhi Kahani.

The film was directed by Rajkumar Kohli and was his final directorial project. It featured a large cast that included actors like Sunny Deol, Sonu Nigam, Suniel Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Arshad Warsi, Aditya Pancholi, Rambha, Sharad Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, and Armaan Kohli.

At present, Akshay Kumar is seen in Bhooth Bangla, which is running in theatres. The film marks his reunion with director Priyadarshan after several years.

A review of the film points out that while some jump scare moments are effective, the story becomes complicated in the second half due to the addition of time travel. It also notes that the relationship between the main characters is not strongly developed. The film uses many familiar elements of horror such as unusual sounds, dark spaces, and an old palace setting. However, it does not significantly change the usual style of horror comedy films.

Overall, the discussion about Akshay Kumar’s earlier earnings gives an idea of how payment systems in the film industry have changed over time, while his current film continues to receive mixed responses from viewers.
