Dragon First Glimpse Reveals Jr NTR In Ruthless Action Avatar

Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel unveiled Dragon’s first glimpse, featuring intense action scenes and a dark crime world.

The official title of Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film has finally been revealed. The movie, which was earlier referred to as NTR Neel, is titled Dragon. The makers released the film’s first glimpse late on Tuesday night through the social media pages and YouTube channel of Mythri Movie Makers. Both Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel also shared the video online shortly after its release.

The 4 minute and 28 second glimpse introduces the film’s dark world and several major characters. The teaser opens with references to Indian history and the opium trade during the pre and post independence periods. Jr NTR is shown playing a violent and fearless character involved in a dangerous criminal network linked to the opium business.

In one of the major scenes from the glimpse, the actor is seen standing on top of a mountain surrounded by dead bodies. Several action sequences show him fighting enemies single handedly with guns and weapons. The visual style of the teaser reminded many viewers of Prashanth Neel’s earlier films like KGF and Salaar because of its dark colour palette, large scale action and rugged industrial setting.

The teaser also revealed the first looks of several actors including Anil Kapoor, who appears in the role of a police officer. Other cast members shown in the glimpse include Biju Menon, Rukmini Vasanth, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Ashutosh Rana, Sidhant Gupta and several others.

Many fans praised Jr NTR’s intense screen presence and physical transformation in the teaser. One social media user wrote, “NTR is not simply acting,he is just living in that character.” Another commented, “KGF had Rocky, Salaar had Deva… now arrives the DRAGON.”

At the same time, some viewers pointed out similarities between Dragon and Prashanth Neel’s previous films. One user wrote, “Is it only me or anyone else is also feeling that the glimpse is giving the vibe of KGF and Salaar?”

Dragon is scheduled to release in theatres on June 11, 2027. The film will release in 5 languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
