Actor Evelyn Sharma has confirmed that she and her husband Tushaan Bhindi are separating after five years of marriage. She shared that while they are ending their relationship as a couple, they will continue to raise their children together and maintain a respectful bond.
Speaking about the decision, Evelyn said, “Yes, we have decided to go separate ways romantically but are very focused on raising our children together. We would appreciate privacy and assure that this is as amicable as it can be. We are building this new chapter on a lifelong friendship and co-parenting.” Her statement highlights that the separation is mutual and focused on the well being of their family.
The couple got married in 2021 in a small ceremony held in Brisbane, Australia, where Tushaan Bhindi works as a surgeon. Their relationship began in 2018 after they met through a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. A year later, he proposed during a yacht outing near the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and they got engaged soon after.
Over the years, they shared parts of their life together on social media. In 2020, they adopted a puppy named Coco. They welcomed their daughter, Ava Rania Bhindi, in 2021, followed by their son, Arden, in 2023.
In an earlier interview, Evelyn had spoken about their cross cultural relationship. She said, “My husband is, technically Gujarati, he’s from Sydney, Australia. I’m Punjabi German but I feel more Indian than him as I lived in India for 10 years. I’ve travelled so much that I’ve seen so many cultures. We have these mixed cultures in our marriage, and so we’re establishing our own rules.” This reflected how they approached their relationship with a mix of different cultural backgrounds.
On the work front, Evelyn Sharma is known for her role in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. She has also appeared in films like Yaariyan, Main Tera Hero, Hindi Medium, and Jab Harry Met Sejal. She was last seen in Saaho, which featured Prabhas in the lead role.
