The incident prompted the Juhu police to question Govinda about the accidental shooting. Govinda explained that the revolver, which was 20 years old, was unlocked when it accidentally misfired while he was cleaning it. Police have ruled out foul play for now but are considering further questioning as part of the ongoing investigation. Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, was also questioned, and her statement has been recorded.
Shortly after the accident, Govinda released a voice note to assure his fans of his well-being, thanking the doctors, especially Dr. Agarwal, and expressing his gratitude for the prayers and blessings that helped him through the ordeal. The police have arrived at the scene to investigate the incident and have taken the revolver into custody. Govinda’s family has yet to release an official statement regarding his condition, but sources close to the hospital assure that he is recovering well.
