Paramount has released the new official trailer for Heart Of The Beast, an upcoming survival thriller starring Brad Pitt and his four legged co star Odin. The film is directed by David Ayer, known for movies including Suicide Squad and Fury, and is scheduled to arrive in theatres on September 25, 2026.
The story follows Special Forces officer James Belmont, played by Brad Pitt, and his combat dog Odin after their plane crashes in the remote Alaskan wilderness. Stranded far from help, the two must depend on each other as they try to survive the harsh environment.
The trailer gives viewers a look at the difficult conditions the pair face after the crash. With limited resources and dangerous surroundings, James and Odin are forced to find a way through the wilderness while dealing with the constant threat posed by the elements.
The film’s central relationship is between James and Odin. Their bond becomes important as they face one challenge after another. The story focuses not only on survival but also on the connection between a soldier and his loyal combat dog.

Along with Brad Pitt, the movie features J.K. Simmons, known for Whiplash, and Anna Lambe, who appeared in True Detective: Night Country. Cameron Alexander has written the screenplay.
Academy Award winning cinematographer Mauro Fiore, whose credits include Avatar and Spider Man: No Way Home, serves as the director of photography.
Director David Ayer has also offered fans some reassurance about Odin’s fate. Addressing concerns about the animal character, he promised, “Don’t worry, the dog lives.”
Heart Of The Beast will be released in theatres on September 25, 2026. The film combines survival action with a story about loyalty and the strong relationship between a soldier and his combat dog.
