Jaaved Jaaferi hilariously responded to the latest news about Adar Poonawalla, managing director of Serum Institute of India, buying 50 per cent stake in Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The Poonawallas’ Rs 1,000-crore investment through Serene Productions marks a significant expansion in Bollywood After the coronation ceremony, Jaaved took to X and said, “Next film : Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Serum”. Another user asked: “Vaccine ke baad se Kuch Kuch Hota Hai…” a comment read. “Covi Khushi ., Covi Gham,” joked another. Another commented, “Movies name in collaboration 1.Patient of the year 2 . A pill hai Mushkil 3. Kuch kuch healing hai”. In his official statement, Karan Johar expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. By calling this describing it as Poonawallas’ “perfect blend” of Dharma’s emotional storytelling and innovative business sense, he believes this partnership will elevate Dharma Productions’ legacy to the next level and combines traditional storytelling with a forward-looking global entertainment strategy.
Although several titles, including Sa Re Ga Ma India, were previously linked with the deal, Dharma Productions is yet to announce its first film project under the new partnership.
In the meantime, Jaaved Jaaferi, who is known for his talent was featured in the 2022 film Jaadugar and recently appeared in the second season of Taaza Khabar on Disney Hotstar.
