Jackky Bhagnani Breaks Silence On Legal Dispute Reports

Jackky Bhagnani has denied reports of a legal dispute with PVR INOX Pictures, saying both companies continue to share a strong relationship.

Actor and producer Jackky Bhagnani has responded to reports claiming that PVR INOX Pictures was preparing to take legal action against his father, filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani, and their production company, Pooja Entertainment. Calling the reports inaccurate, Jackky said that the information being circulated does not reflect the actual relationship between the two companies.

Pooja Entertainment recently shared an official statement on Instagram to address the matter. The company stated, “Over the decades, Pooja Entertainment has built a relationship with the media rooted in mutual respect, transparency, and a shared love for Indian cinema. We are incredibly grateful for the continuous support you have extended to our team throughout our journey. Recently, reports have circulated regarding alleged legal proceedings between PVR INOX Pictures and Pooja Entertainment. We wish to clarify that these reports are entirely inaccurate. PVR INOX Pictures has graciously issued an official clarification confirming that these claims do not reflect the reality of our strong professional bond.”

The statement also expressed concern about the spread of unverified information. It said, “While we deeply respect the fast-paced nature of digital news, the continued circulation of unverified stories in this case are causing harm to the stakeholders and the company’s goodwill built over the years. We kindly request our friends across media houses, digital platforms, and social channels, bloggers to rely on verified facts and remove any misleading coverage that they might have published. We remain grateful to everyone who has extended their support and understanding during this time. We have full faith that truth and facts will ultimately prevail over speculation and misinformation.”

The clarification followed media reports that claimed PVR INOX Pictures and Pooja Entertainment were involved in a financial disagreement linked to a three film distribution deal covering Mission Raniganj, Ganapath, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. According to those reports, the arrangement allegedly included a refundable advance, leading to speculation about unpaid dues and possible legal proceedings.

However, both Pooja Entertainment and PVR INOX Pictures have denied these claims. PVR INOX Pictures also issued a statement describing the reports as “misleading and speculative” and reaffirmed its long standing professional association with the Bhagnani family.

At the same time, Pooja Entertainment is involved in a separate legal matter related to the music rights of filmmaker David Dhawan’s upcoming comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The production company has approached the Bombay High Court with a ₹400 crore lawsuit against Tips Industries Limited, its directors Ramesh Taurani and Kumar S. Taurani, as well as David Dhawan.

For now, both Pooja Entertainment and PVR INOX Pictures maintain that reports of any legal conflict between them are incorrect and do not reflect their ongoing professional relationship.
