Aaman Devgan, who is set to make his acting debut with Azaad, has already signed his second project a horror-comedy titled Jhalak. This announcement follows the resounding success of Shaitaan, with Devgn Films and Panorama Studios collaborating once again for this fresh venture.
Jhalak is inspired by a true story, thus giving the horror-comedy a spine-tingling genuineness. The film is being directed by Umang Vyas, who worked on the hit Gujarati film Jhamkudi, while the script will be written by Tushar Ajgaonkar, best known for the quirky storytelling of Munjya.
Ajay Devgn is producing the film along with Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak; he was thrilled about the project, stating, “After Shaitaan, we wanted to explore a genre that brings together the best of horror and comedy. Jhalak offers the perfect blend, and with the talented team behind it, we believe audiences will thoroughly enjoy this unique experience.”
The film is currently in pre-production, and shooting is expected to start soon. Details about the supporting cast and release date will be revealed in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Azaad, debut film of Aaman Devgan, is generating buzz ahead of its January 17, 2025 release. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film is set in pre-independence India and narrates the story of a skilled horse rider (Ajay Devgn) who runs away from the English army after his horse gets missing and does a daring task with a young boy (Aaman Devgan).
The movie also sets a platform for the entry of Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha, for a role depicting a member from the royal family and also sees an appearance of love interest Ajay Devgn through actress Diana Penty. This will be the cinematic production from the desk of producers Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor.
