The trailer of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, starring Kangana Ranaut, was unveiled at an event in Mumbai on Tuesday. The film takes a different approach to the story of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks by focusing on the contributions of hospital workers who continued to serve during one of the country’s most challenging moments.
Unlike many stories that focus on security forces and public figures, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata shifts attention to nurses, ward boys, cleaners, security staff, lift operators, administrators, and other hospital employees who remained at work despite the danger around them. Inspired by real life incidents, the film explores how these individuals played a crucial role in keeping essential services running during the crisis.
Most of the story is set inside a hospital, where fear and uncertainty grow as news of the attacks spreads across the city. While chaos unfolds outside, hospital staff continue caring for patients and carrying out their responsibilities. The trailer presents the hospital as a place where courage, duty, and compassion become as important as survival.
Kangana Ranaut plays the role of a staff nurse who is often overlooked in her daily life. At home, her opinions are not always taken seriously, and at work, she sometimes faces indifference from patients. However, when the attacks take place, her determination and quick thinking help her support those around her. The trailer follows her journey from being an ordinary caregiver to becoming a source of strength during a difficult situation.
One of the key moments in the trailer shows nurses reflecting on the oath they took to serve others and protect humanity. Even as fear spreads through the hospital, they choose to continue helping patients rather than abandoning their duties. These scenes emphasize the emotional and human side of the story while highlighting the sacrifices made by healthcare workers.
The film also features Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey, Priya Berde, Asha Shelar, Suhita Thatte, Rasika Aghase, Aditya Mishra, and Zahid Khan in important roles.
Presented by PEN Studios, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is produced by PEN Studios, Manikarnika Films, and Paramhans Creations, along with Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 12, 2026.
By focusing on healthcare workers and support staff, the film aims to highlight the role played by ordinary people who continued serving others during a time of crisis, offering a different perspective on the events of 26/11.
