After taking her National award winning film THE DIRTY PICTURE case into account the vigilant producer, Ekta Kapoor took no chances with her upcoming release KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM. Ekta sold the satellite rights of KYA KOOL HAIN HUM sequel long ago and also shot the alternative scenes for satellite viewing.
“I sold the satellite rights of KYA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM long ago. When a film like THE DIRTY PICTURE was stopped, I knew that KYA SUPER… can also get into problems so I shot the alternative scenes for satellite well in advance. And I saw to it that it doesn’t go dirty. There are so many jokes in the film but they don’t go into the sexual route,” says the shrewd producer.

Ekta’s highly acclaimed and rewarded film THE DIRTY PICTURE, which was initially denied the telecast on TV at prime time slots because of its risqu? content, was given the clean chit lately after nearly 100 cuts.
But Ekta seems quite miffed with this fact. She says, “I think nobody here would deny that THE DIRTY PICTURE is, definitely, a film that women should see more than men. When the film released we’d ladies show which went packed-houses. There were women who came back and told us that we will never look down on an item girl henceforth…I think we are not going forward but actually going backwards.”

She further adds, “As an industry on whole we are planning to get together and fight. It’s the question on the basics of creativity. Are you telling me that only content for children should be made? Because otherwise the commerce will never work out…How are we going to make fun films? How are we going to survive? Then we should do only TV. And when we were doing diluted content for the masses we constantly got panned that we don’t make anything interesting.”
“We are gonna fight. Who decides what is loud or what’s not? There is lot of content on TV which is questionable. Lot of comedies have lot of sexual content on television. I think first that should be stopped and then we will stop our films,” Ekta adds.
Starring Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh KYA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM releases on 27th July 2012.
