As the day inches closer, the audience and industry await perhaps the biggest extravaganza of the year, Yash Raj Films’ Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif starrer, DHOOM 3, with the box-office scenario going through a very dull phase.

After one blockbuster KRRISH 3 and a hit, GOLIYON KI RAASLEELA RAM-LEELA, which released on 15th November, all the films which came afterwards have underperformed. SINGH SAAB THE GREAT, GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN, BULLETT RAJA and R…RAJKUMAR! Four big/ medium budgeted, top banner films with names like Karan Johar, Anil Sharma, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Shahid Kapoor and Prabhu Dheva have all failed to lure the audience in a big way.
With all the above mentioned films not performing up to the mark, it shows that the audience is simply not in the mood to venture out in big numbers, and this kind of trend at the box-office is usually seen before the release of a big star-cast venture and it’s actually the lull before the storm. And the reason (as we have mentioned above) is DHOOM 3 which is keenly awaited.
The hype around the film is only increasing with time and trade predicts a sure shot 200 crore in the offing when DHOOM 3 releases on 20th December.
