Mirzapur: The Movie Teaser Brings Back Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu And Munna In A New Battle For Power

The first teaser of Mirzapur: The Movie brings back Guddu, Munna and Kaleen Bhaiya while introducing new twists ahead of its September 4 release.

The makers of Mirzapur: The Movie have released the first teaser, giving fans a glimpse of the much loved characters returning to the world of Mirzapur. The video, which runs for 2 minutes and 22 seconds, highlights the ongoing power struggles and conflicts that have become a key part of the franchise.

The teaser brings back several familiar faces from the popular series, including Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Divyendu as Munna Tripathi and Pankaj Tripathi as Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi. The video suggests that the battle for control and influence in Mirzapur will continue as old rivalries and tensions resurface.

One of the notable moments in the teaser is the appearance of Jitendra Kumar as Bablu Pandit. The character was originally played by Vikrant Massey in the web series. The teaser also introduces actor Ravi Kishan, who joins the cast for the upcoming film.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, the makers wrote, “Witness the epic untold story, this September. Get ready for bhaukaal on the big screen. Watch #MirzapurTheMovie only in cinemas on 4th September in Hindi & Telugu”.

The film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who previously directed the successful Mirzapur series for Prime Video. Shweta Tripathi will also return as Gajgamini Gupta, a character who has played an important role in the story since the early seasons of the show.

The Mirzapur series first premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2018 and quickly gained popularity among viewers. It was followed by additional seasons in 2020 and 2024. Due to its strong following, the series has also been renewed for a fourth season.

Set in Uttar Pradesh, the story revolves around Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi, a powerful mafia leader who controls the city through fear and influence. Over the years, the series has focused on crime, politics, family rivalries and the struggle for power among its central characters.

With several key characters returning and new additions joining the cast, Mirzapur: The Movie continues the story on a larger scale. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 4.
