The atmosphere at DIL DHADAKNE DO’s brunch party cum music launch was very casual and the cast and crew of the film didn’t mind pulling each other’s leg.
Speaking about the title song from DIL DHADAKNE DO, which she has sung along with Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka said, “The idea of the song actually came at a party. Zoya, Ritesh, Farhan and I were discussing.
Everyone thought that since Farhan and I sing, there should be a song in the film in our voice. Suddenly, SEL (Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy) made a song and Javed saab had written the most difficult lyrics in the world which I can never remember because there are 13 words in every sentence. Every time I was asked to sing, I used to just sing ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ because I couldn’t remember the rest.”
Later when Javed Akhtar was given the mic, he said obviously hinting at Priyanka, “In one song (from DIL DHADAKNE DO), there were 13 words which was a problem. I should have thought how can a person who doesn’t even know how to count till 13, remember 13 words.”
Priyanka immediately responded saying, “How mean, Javed saab.” To which Javed saab said, “Isse cat kehte hain,” which got a lot of guffaws from the audience.
But it was all it good humour. After all, a bit of banter never hurt anyone.
