Film and web series leaks on social media have become a common problem in the entertainment industry. Despite makers trying hard to keep important scenes, actor looks and story details secret, many projects still end up getting leaked online before release. Recently, films like Ramayana and King faced similar issues after pictures and scenes from their sets spread across social media platforms. Now, Inspector Avinash Season 2 has also become part of the same problem.
Actor Randeep Hooda recently opened up about the issue during an interview with Times Now, and shared a surprising opinion. According to him, many leaks are not accidental at all and may actually be done intentionally for publicity. He said he strongly feels that some people use these leaks as a “great PR peg” to create excitement and attention around a project before release. Randeep added that while leaks can be upsetting, many people in the industry also use them to their advantage and create unnecessary drama around them.
Director Neeraj Pathak, who helms Inspector Avinash Season 2, admitted that leaks are one of the most painful things for creators. He explained that filmmakers and writers spend years building stories, planning scenes and designing characters carefully. When videos or photos leak online before release, it destroys the surprise and excitement they want audiences to experience for the first time while watching the show.
The director also spoke about the hard work actors put into preparing for their roles. He mentioned how Randeep Hooda had worked intensely on his appearance not only for Swatantrya Veer Savarkar but also for Inspector Avinash Season 2.
According to Pathak, when such carefully planned looks or scenes get leaked early, it becomes very disappointing for the entire team. He added that the people behind these leaks often make money from them, which makes controlling the problem even more difficult.
Three years after the first season became popular among viewers, Inspector Avinash Season 2 is now ready to return with a darker and more emotional storyline. Inspired by real events from Uttar Pradesh during the late 1990s, the first season followed supercop Avinash Mishra as he fought against illegal arms dealers and dangerous criminal gangs.
The trailer for the new season shows Avinash facing his biggest personal challenge yet after his son gets connected to a murder case. Soon, the officer is betrayed by the same system he once served and gets suspended from duty.
The story follows his struggle to save his family and prove his innocence at the same time.
The series stars Randeep Hooda in the lead role along with Urvashi Rautela, Amit Sial, Abhimanyu Singh, Rajneesh Duggal, Shalin Bhanot and Freddy Daruwala in important roles. The show is set to release on JioHotstar on May 15.
