Saba Azad, known for her roles in “Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge,” “Rocket Boys,” and “Ladies Room,” recently voiced her frustration over not being able to work in voice-overs for two years. She took to Instagram Stories to express her feelings, sharing pictures and videos from a recording studio. Saba highlighted that she has been a voice-over artist for over 15 years and finds it to be one of the most rewarding careers both creatively and monetarily.

In her stories, she revealed that she was puzzled when she stopped receiving voice-over work. Upon discussing the matter with a close director friend, she was taken aback by his response. The director implied that due to her current life situation and relationship status, he didn’t think she would want to do voice-over work anymore. Saba criticized this perspective as a “one-dimensional patriarchal and regressive mindset,” pointing out that it led to her losing a career she deeply loved and valued.

Her post highlights the challenges faced by women in the industry who are often subjected to assumptions about their professional desires based on personal circumstances, reflecting broader issues of gender bias and stereotypes in the workplace.
