The iconic 1999 blockbuster Biwi No. 1, directed by David Dhawan, is all set to come to theatres for a grand re-release on November 29, 2024. Known as one of Dhawan’s most celebrated comedies, the film has left an indelible mark on audiences with its unique humor and heartfelt storytelling.
On Thursday, producer Jackky Bhagnani shared the news on Instagram, unveiling a special trailer with the caption: Get ready for David Dhawan’s Biggest Entertainer to take over the screen once again! #29thNovember.
It featured a super-star cast—Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, Karisma Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Tabu in a love story that forced relationships in an uncompromising manner. The film has remained current across times, with Salman Khan’s macho attitude and Sushmita Sen’s stylish outlook yet to be forgotten in the history of Indian cinema.
The soundtrack, featuring hits like Chunari Chunari and Ishq Sona Hai, remains forever cherished by audiences and has given the film more evergreen value.
Speaking about the re-release, David Dhawan said:
