Ranveer Singh recently stole hearts at the trailer launch of Singham Again with his affectionate gesture towards his wife, Deepika Padukone, who couldn’t attend the event. Deepika, who is set to portray the role of “lady Singham,” aka Shakti, in the film, was absent due to her new role as a mother. Ranveer, reprising his iconic role as Simmba in the movie, clearly missed his beloved on this special occasion. In a video shared by a paparazzo, Ranveer is seen lovingly removing the “nazar” (evil eye) from Deepika’s poster at the event. He even posed with the poster before joining co-stars Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff at the trailer launch.
This heartwarming gesture comes shortly after Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their first child, a baby girl, last month. The couple shared their joy with fans on social media, announcing the happy news with a sweet post that simply read, “Welcome baby girl,” along with their names. Both Ranveer and Deepika have expressed their excitement for this new chapter in their lives, and the arrival of their daughter has brought immense joy to their family.
Fans commented on the video saying, “He is the best “, “Simbbbbbaaaaaa ”
The couple will reunite on screen in Singham Again after a gap of six years, with their last collaboration being the blockbuster Padmaavat, which released in January 2018. While Ranveer reprises his role as Simmba, Deepika takes on the powerful character of Shakti. It remains unclear if the two will be paired opposite each other in the film. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again is set for a Diwali release, and fans are eagerly anticipating their on-screen chemistry.
During a recent public appearance at the Ambani family’s ‘United in Triumph’ event at Antilia, Ranveer couldn’t contain his happiness when asked about his new role as a father. Radiating joy, he proudly told the photographers, “Baap ban gaya re” (I have become a father), sharing his excitement about this beautiful phase of his life.
