One of Bollywood’s well known songs has returned in a new version with the release of “Ucha Lamba Kad Forever” from the upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle. Released by Junglee Music, a division of Times Music, the track brings back the popular song while introducing it to a younger audience with a refreshed sound and presentation.
The song features Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani and combines the familiarity of the original track with a modern musical style. The original version was composed by Anand Raj Anand, while the recreated version has been arranged by Vikram Montrose. The makers have retained the core appeal of the song while updating it to suit current musical tastes.
The new version is sung by Anand Raj Anand and Rubai. It features fresh lyrics written by Meggha Bali along with the original lyrics by Sameer. The track aims to balance nostalgia with a contemporary feel, making it accessible to both long time fans and newer listeners.
Speaking about recreating the song, Vikram Montrose said, “The original ‘Ucha Lamba Kad’ holds a special place in the hearts of Bollywood music lovers. The challenge was to retain that nostalgia while giving it a fresh identity that fits the energy of Welcome To The Jungle. We wanted audiences to instantly reconnect with the song and at the same time discover something new.”
Meggha Bali also shared her thoughts on writing the updated lyrics. “Songs like these come with a legacy and an emotional connection for audiences. Our effort was to celebrate everything people loved about the original while adding a contemporary flavour that speaks to today’s listeners.”

Welcome To The Jungle features a large ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff and Paresh Rawal, among others. Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwallah, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 26, 2026.
