Kim Taehyung has often been known for his music, but there has always been interest in his abilities beyond singing. Many fans have noticed his strong screen presence and the way he adapts to different roles, leading to curiosity about whether he would explore acting further.
The BTS member, part of BTS, recently spoke about this in an interview with Rolling Stone. He shared that he wants to take acting more seriously and try different kinds of roles. Talking about what attracts him to acting, he said, “When I’m acting, part of the point is to try a bunch of different parts that I can’t experience in reality.” He also explained that this thinking is similar to how he approaches music, where he prefers not to limit himself to one style or image.
Taehyung first tried acting nearly a decade ago in the historical drama Hwarang The Poet Warrior Youth. After that, he mainly focused on his music career. However, his recent projects suggest that his interest in acting has grown again.
One such project is the advertisement film That Night Our Decaffeinated, where he appeared alongside Park Ji Min. The film had a simple and emotional story about two people who meet again after many years. It showed their shared memories and feelings, focusing on themes like love, lost chances, and new beginnings.
He also appeared in the music video Love Wins All by IU. The video was set in a dark and challenging world. In it, Taehyung played one half of a couple trying to survive together. His performance was emotional and connected well with viewers, even though the story had a sad ending.
Overall, Taehyung’s recent statements and work show that he is interested in exploring acting more seriously in the future, while continuing his journey in music.
