Park Jung Min as Jae Yoon: Jae Yoon is a young soldier serving in an air-defense unit in an SKY-HIGH BUILDING. Even though he serves at the air-defense unit as a soldier, he does suffer from low self-esteem and concern about his future. In many ways, these weaknesses drown Jae Yoon and leave him to end the otherwise sweet relationship with his girl friend Young Joo with emotional depth.
As the outbreak starts, he has to battle for survival, repel zombies by the hundreds and fight through the chaos to find Young Joo.

Young Joo as Jisoo:
Young Joo is a youngwoman in a new society trying to find her grounds. When Jae Yoon turns out to break up with her, she goes to him at his workplace to confront the issue.
However, her arrival coincides with a sudden zombie outbreak, leaving her trapped in the air-defense building.
Determined to survive and reconnect with Jae Yoon, she embarks on a journey of resilience, forming alliances to combat the undead.
Stills are seen with Jae Yoon talking to colleagues, a breakup call, and a reaction to the zombie invasion with fear and urgency.

In tense moments, Jae Yoon is shown holding a gun, strategizing survival plans, and fighting for his life amidst the chaos.

Although she is not featured in the latest batch of stills, her role as a determined survivor infuses emotional depth and higher stakes into the story.

1. BLACKPINK Jisoo’s comeback to Dramas:
Newtopia would be Jisoo’s much-awaited comeback to the screen after her debut that was a huge success, Snowdrop.

2. Park Jung Min Acting:
He is known to be very versatile and hence will portray the role of Jae Yoon as complex yet relatable. Chemistry with Jisoo is definitely a major talking point since fans are eagerly awaiting this dynamic in the high-stakes setting.

Previously titled Influenza, Newtopia offers a new spin on the zombie apocalypse genre: this one focuses on personal relationships and emotional conflicts amidst all the chaos.
An air-defense building, especially with such a confined setup, will heighten tension for an action survival series of emotional depth.

A show with such a promise as its premise, paired with its star-studded cast and impressive production values, sets the tone for Newtopia as one to watch closely for its premiere on February 7, 2025.
