Pete Davidson, the comedian known for his roles on “Saturday Night Live” and in “The King of Staten Island,” is reportedly taking some time out of the spotlight to focus on his mental health. According to report, Pete, 30, has checked into a facility to address his mental well-being. This decision follows a particularly busy period during which he performed more than 200 live stand-up comedy shows across the U.S., released his second Netflix comedy special “Turbo Fonzarelli,” and worked on several film projects.
A source close to Pete emphasized that mental health has “always been a priority” for him, which is the primary reason for his decision to take a break. Pete has been open about his struggles with sobriety, borderline personality disorder, and severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). After a hectic year, he is now focusing on his sobriety. His friends and family are reportedly very proud of his choice to prioritize his well-being.

Most recently, Pete underwent treatment in the summer of 2023 to address issues related to PTSD and borderline personality disorder. He discussed this during a comedy show with John Mulaney and Jon Stewart in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September 2023. During the show, he humorously mentioned his frequent rehab stints, saying, “I got that post-rehab glow. Seventh time’s the charm.” Pete also revealed that he had taken ketamine, a drug used medically as an anesthetic, daily for four years.
Pete has been candid about his mental health struggles for years. In 2018, he shared that he had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder after years of battling depression and anxiety, and he first entered a rehabilitation program in December 2016.
