Pete Davidson just reopened one of pop culture’s messiest celebrity feuds, and he did it with one brutal joke. While appearing at Kevin Hart’s celebrity roast at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, the comedian took several shots at public figures throughout the night, but it was his Kanye West jab that instantly grabbed attention online.
“I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis,” Pete joked on stage, immediately sending social media into chaos.
The comment appeared to reference Kanye’s years-long history of antisemitic controversies and public admiration for Adolf Hitler and Nazi imagery, which sparked massive backlash beginning in 2022.
Although Kanye has recently attempted to walk back some of those remarks, even reportedly issuing a public apology through a Wall Street Journal ad, Pete clearly was not interested in letting the past stay buried.
And honestly, considering everything that happened between them, the tension was probably never fully gone.

The feud between Pete and Kanye exploded years ago when Pete briefly dated Kim Kardashian following her split from Ye. At the time, Kanye repeatedly mocked Pete online, publicly calling him “Skete” and even posting disturbing imagery and music videos that appeared to depict violence against him.
