‘The Batman’ was roughly seven weeks into production when filming was shut down in March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

According to reports, the Matt Reeves directorial is said to be a grittier and more realistic take on the Dark Knight mythos and has approximately three months of material left to shoot.

‘The Batman’ could possibly be wrapped up by the end of 2020.

Crew members have been constructing sets since last month, ahead of the planned shooting.

Soon after the production stopped in March, the theatrical release date of the comic book adventure film was reportedly postponed by the Warner Bros. Studios from June 2021 to October 1, 2021.

The cast for ‘The Batman’ also features Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred , Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Paul Dano as Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard in a not-yet-known role.
