Taylor Frankie Paul Ordered to Pass Drug and Alcohol Tests in Ongoing Custody Battle

A Utah judge has ordered Taylor Frankie Paul to undergo drug and alcohol testing as part of her custody dispute with ex-husband Tate Paul over their two children.

Reality TV star Taylor Frankie Paul has received a new court order in her ongoing custody dispute with ex-husband Tate Paul, with a Utah judge requiring her to undergo drug and alcohol testing before she can resume unsupervised parenting time. According to newly obtained court documents, the order states that if Taylor’s test results are clean, she will be allowed to spend unsupervised time with the former couple’s two children, Indy and Ocean. However, if the tests detect alcohol or any unprescribed drugs, her parenting time will remain supervised while the case continues.

The ruling comes after Tate Paul asked the court to reconsider an earlier decision that denied his request for a temporary restraining order seeking changes to the couple’s custody arrangement. In support of his renewed request, he submitted text messages and other materials that he claimed raised concerns about Taylor’s recent treatment stay and her ability to safely care for their children. The judge did not accept all of Tate’s arguments. According to the court ruling, several of his claims were rejected due to insufficient evidence. However, the court did require Taylor to provide records related to her treatment if requested by the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS), making that one of the conditions moving forward.

The latest order creates a clear path for Taylor to regain unsupervised parenting time if she satisfies the court’s testing requirements. If the results are not clean, supervised visits will continue, and the court will hold a future hearing to consider Tate’s request for a temporary restraining order.

Taylor Frankie Paul rose to prominence through TikTok before joining the Hulu reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, where both her personal relationships and family life have become major storylines. Her custody proceedings have also attracted significant public attention as new legal filings continue to emerge. It’s important to note that the judge’s latest order does not determine the final outcome of the custody case. Instead, it establishes temporary conditions while the legal process continues. The broader custody dispute between Taylor and Tate Paul remains ongoing, with additional court proceedings expected in the coming weeks.
