Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made their first official red carpet appearance together in New York City during the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival. The couple attended the world premiere of Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris, where they posed for photos and shared affectionate moments in front of cameras.
For the event, Perry wore a white vintage Lanvin gown, while Trudeau appeared in a classic tuxedo. The two were photographed smiling at each other, sharing candid glances, and leaning in close during the red carpet event.
One of the most talked about moments from the evening showed the couple touching their foreheads together and laughing.
Perry, 41, and Trudeau, 54, first sparked dating rumors in July 2025 when they were seen together in Montreal. Around the same time, Trudeau attended Perry’s “Lifetimes” tour stop in the city with his teenage daughter, Ella-Grace.
Their relationship appeared to slow down briefly, but the pair were later seen holding hands during Perry’s birthday celebration in Paris in October.
Later in October, fans speculated that Trudeau’s shark costume for Halloween was a playful reference to Perry’s famous “Left Shark” dancer from her 2015 Super Bowl halftime performance.
In December, the couple appeared to confirm their relationship on Instagram by sharing intimate photos from a trip to Tokyo. They were also seen together at Coachella in April 2026, enjoying Justin Bieber’s set.

According to Us Weekly, Perry introduced her 5 year old daughter, whom she shares with ex fiancé Orlando Bloom, to Trudeau’s three children with his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
As the couple approaches their one year anniversary, a source told Page Six that their relationship became serious quickly after their first date in Montreal.
“Katy ended up back at Justin’s place in Montreal after their first date and they have been inseparable ever since,” the source said.
The source also added that the couple “make it a point to take time out for each other” despite their busy schedules.
The red carpet debut at Tribeca marks a major step for the couple, who have gradually become more public about their relationship over the past year.
