Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau were recently photographed spending time together during a picnic at a park in Santa Barbara, California. The singer and the former Canadian Prime Minister appeared relaxed as they enjoyed the outdoor outing with family members and friends. Photos from the day showed Perry and Trudeau sharing affectionate moments while sitting and relaxing on a blanket. They were accompanied by Perry’s 5 year old daughter, Daisy, whom she shares with former partner Orlando Bloom, as well as another young boy. An additional woman was also part of the group during the gathering.
The group spent time watching the children play nearby and later sat together to enjoy a meal. After their picnic, they were seen leaving the area in a vintage Jeep style vehicle, with Perry behind the wheel.
Public interest in Perry and Trudeau’s relationship first grew in July 2025 when they were spotted having dinner together at Le Violon in Montreal before Perry’s “Lifetimes” tour performance in the city. The sighting led to widespread speculation about a possible romance between the two.
Earlier that same month, Perry confirmed that she and Orlando Bloom had ended their engagement after 10 years together. Since then, Perry and Trudeau have made several public appearances that attracted media attention.

The couple later confirmed their relationship after being photographed together during a yacht vacation off the California coast. In December, they shared photos from a trip to Tokyo on social media, making their relationship official online. They also spent the holiday season together.
Most recently, Perry and Trudeau attended the premiere of Perry’s concert film, “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris,” during the Tribeca Film Festival. The event marked their first appearance together on a red carpet.
During a question and answer session with music journalist Tomás Mier, Perry spoke openly about her relationship and described Trudeau as “the love of [her] life.” She also discussed how the relationship has influenced her personally, saying, “I feel like I’m more grounded now personally in so many aspects of my life,” while explaining that Trudeau has helped bring stability and balance to her life.
Trudeau separated from his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire, in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple share three children. Perry and Trudeau continue to attract public attention as their relationship develops in the spotlight.
