Sonu Sood took a major plunge into directing an action-packed film called ‘Fateh’, which was released on Friday, is co-starring with Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah, with an opening collection of ₹2.45 crore, confirmed Sacnilk.

While the film ‘Fateh’ had a fine run, it is up against blockbusters with huge fan followings, including S. Sridhar’s Telugu blockbuster ‘Game Changer’, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani. The Hindi-dubbed version of ‘Game Changer’ grossed ₹7 crore on Friday, while the movie’s total gross in the opening of 5 languages is a staggering ₹51.25 crore. That said, possibly ‘Fateh’ might pick up during the weekend fuelling it with word-of-mouth going positive, and the price for its tickets is moderated.
Inspiration of a Filmmaker Sonu Sood shared about the source of inspiration for ‘Fateh’ in another video. He said it arose from when he engaged himself as a volunteer with people during COVID-19. Many people who had turned to him were victims of cybercrime. “Fateh is a film made for the common man. I wanted it to reach everyone and priced the tickets at just ₹99 on Day 1.
Besides, I decided to donate the entire share of the profits for the film to a charity,” stated Sonu. Based on real-life incidents of cybercrime, ‘Fateh’ is an engaging story of guts, determination, and the ultimate fight against cybercrime. Featuring a high-octane action scene, the film also boasts collaborations with top Hollywood professionals in the areas of directing photography, research team, and action choreography.
