Millie Bobby Brown is getting ready for the release of Enola Holmes 3, where she returns as the young detective Enola Holmes. While promoting the film, the Hollywood actor spoke about her career, the different genres explored in the movie and her interest in working in Bollywood. During an interview with Variety India, she shared that she would be happy to be part of an Indian film if the right opportunity comes along.
Speaking about the possibility of acting in Bollywood, Millie said India is one of the places she has always wanted to visit. She also shared that she is open to trying different kinds of films, especially comedy. She said, “Absolutely. I’ll never say no. India is on my bucket list. I really, really want to go. I’m down for anything, really. A comedy… I’m a funny girl.” When asked if she would be willing to perform dance sequences in a Bollywood film, she replied with excitement, “I love to dance.”
Millie also spoke about her experience filming Enola Holmes 3. She explained that the first 2 films included many action scenes that required physical training and fight sequences. However, she admitted that using a gun in the third film was something she initially found difficult because it did not match how she viewed the character. She explained, “In ‘Enola Holmes 1’ and ‘Enola Holmes 2’, I did a lot of action scenes. There was a lot of physicality in my fighting. However, it took a lot for me to agree to holding a gun because there was so much about Enola’s weaponry that was in her body and her strength. But yes, this time around, she does have tools and accessories in her armour. It was really fun.”
The Enola Holmes film series began in 2020, introducing Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes, the younger sister of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, played by Henry Cavill. The first film was directed by Harry Bradbeer and written by Jack Thorne. It was based on the first novel in Nancy Springer’s The Enola Holmes Mysteries series. The second film was released in 2022, and Enola Holmes 3 is now scheduled to premiere on Netflix on July 1. Fans are also excited about Millie’s interest in Bollywood and will be watching to see if she takes up an Indian film project in the future.
