Neelam Kothari, the 80s and 90s Bollywood star, shared some anecdotes about working with actors like Aamir Khan and Rajesh Khanna during an interview on Radio Nasha recently. She remembered working with Aamir for the 1991 romantic drama Afsana Pyar Ka, saying that he was hardworking and really choosy about his scenes. Neelam revealed, “He was super duper choosy about his scenes and performances. He would be like, ‘Okay, let’s do one more shot, because he is such a perfectionist.” She accentuated how easy shooting was back then and mentioned shooting the iconic dance number Tip Tip in three days.

Neelam also opened up about her experience working with the late Rajesh Khanna in the 1989 film Ghar Ka Chiraag, where she was cast as a mature character. She said Khanna was quiet and shy and never was he aggressive. Reflecting upon her scenes with Khanna, she said, “An actor’s response automatically looks good if they work with a legend and powerhouse of talent like him.”
The quintessential Neelam tasted success in Bollywood over the years and recently made a comeback to fame with reality TV. She featured on Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, a reality show with Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, and Seema Kiran Sajdeh, which gained a lot of popularity on the platform among fans. She has also been part of shows like Masaba Masaba and Made in Heaven. Recently, the third season of her show released, now titled Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, with added new casts like Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Shalini Passi, and Kalyani Saha Chawla.
