Last seen in the unconventional Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Call Me Bae, and CTRL, Ananya Panday’s performances are getting widely appreciated; she has won over legions of fans, including young admirers like Samara, daughter of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. Riddhima revealed on Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives Season 3, “Sam is a die-hard Ananya fan.” Much to Samara’s jubilation, Riddhima introduced her to Ananya’s parents, Chunky Panday and Bhavana, who warmly welcomed her admiration with hugs at the praise. Ananya’s father, Chunky, humorously introduced himself as “Ananya’s dad” and shared how he loves watching his daughter grow.
Riddhima explained that “For Samara, Ananya Panday is her idol,” which seemed to strike a chord with Chunky. He mentioned feeling more fulfilled by Ananya’s achievements than his own career. He also light-heartedly commented on people now saying that if Ananya could act, so could he.
Ananya’s journey has been interesting. Although she initially faced criticism from audiences, she has worked hard to prove herself. Viewers have been impressed with her recent roles: a raw young girl in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, an entitled fashion heiress in Call Me Bae, and recently, an influencer in CTRL.
After her Bollywood debut in Student Of The Year 2 (produced by Karan Johar) with Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria, Ananya’s filmography has developed, featuring films like Pati Patni Aur Woh and the recent Gehraiyaan. She will next be seen in the biographical film *Shankara*, based on renowned lawyer Sankaran Nair of British India, alongside Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan.
