Sanjay Dutt appears before NCW and clarifies, media reports

0

Recent media reports have brought actor Sanjay Dutt into focus following a controversy linked to a song from the film KD: The Devil. According to these reports, he appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) in Delhi after concerns were raised about the song’s content. The issue began after the Hindi version of the track, featuring Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi, was released online. Some viewers criticised the song for what they described as suggestive lyrics and visuals, with particular concern about how easily such content can be accessed by younger audiences.

As the criticism grew, complaints were reportedly submitted to authorities including the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the body that oversees film certification. The Hindi version of the song was later removed from official platforms, while versions in other languages continue to be available.

Reports also indicate that references were made to legal provisions such as the Information Technology Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, which are often cited in cases involving online content and child safety concerns.

During the reported interaction, Sanjay Dutt is said to have clarified that his role was limited to performing in the song and that he was not involved in its writing or creative direction. He is also reported to have expressed regret over the situation and acknowledged the importance of being mindful about how content is perceived by audiences.

In addition, reports suggest he has indicated plans to support the education of (50) girls from tribal communities in Maharashtra, positioning it as a constructive step in response to the controversy.

The situation reflects a broader pattern where film and music content in India is facing closer public and regulatory attention, especially on digital platforms where reach is immediate and widespread. Public opinion remains divided, with some calling for stricter scrutiny before release and others questioning how such content clears existing checks.

Overall, the episode underlines the ongoing balance between creative expression and social responsibility, particularly in a landscape where content can quickly reach diverse audiences.

Jackie Shroff’s The Great Grand Superhero targets summer 2026 release

0

Zee Studios has announced its upcoming film The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman, starring Jackie Shroff, and the project is being noted within the trade for attempting a departure from the conventional superhero format in India. Unlike earlier efforts in the genre that have largely focused on younger protagonists and action-led narratives, this film places an elderly character at the centre, indicating a shift towards a more family-oriented treatment.

The film is directed by Manish Saini, whose previous work includes the National Award-winning Gujarati film Dhh. That film was recognised for its grounded storytelling and focus on childhood experiences, and early details about this project suggest a similar inclination towards emotion-driven narratives rather than scale-driven spectacle.

Based on currently available information, the story revolves around a child who believes his grandfather has special abilities. The narrative appears to explore this belief against the backdrop of a larger science fiction element involving an alien-related development, while keeping the focus on family dynamics. The premise seems to rely on the ambiguity between imagination and reality rather than presenting a straightforward superhero arc.

The supporting cast includes Prateik Babbar, Sharat Saxena and Bhagyashree Dasani, along with other actors, indicating a multi-generational narrative structure. The film is produced by Amdavad Films and presented by Zee Studios, which has been involved in a mix of mainstream and mid-budget projects in recent years.

From a trade perspective, the film’s positioning suggests an attempt to combine elements of science fiction with a domestic, family-based setting. This approach differs from earlier Indian superhero films that have relied more heavily on visual effects and action. However, at this stage, most of the available information comes from initial promotional material and industry reports, and the final tonality and scale of the film will only become clearer closer to release.

The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman is currently expected to release in summer 2026, and its reception will likely indicate how audiences respond to alternative interpretations of the superhero genre within the Indian market.

My grandfather, Barrister Rajni Patel, asked Indira Gandhi, ‘Indira, when are you free?’ She said, ‘Rajni, I am free on the 4th of July.’ The date was booked on the 4th of July. It was booked in Taj Mahal Palace, South Bombay, Colaba. And that’s how my parents got married.”

0

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently spoke about his 16 year old daughter Shora and her interest in acting. In a recent interview, he shared that she is passionate about performing but has not watched many of his films. When asked about people online appreciating Shora and whether she plans to join films in the future, Nawazuddin said, “She will complete her studying first, then we will see. She is passionate about acting though.” He made it clear that her education is the priority before any career decisions.

He also spoke about how honest she is with him. “All daughters are straightforward with their fathers. She hasn’t watched many of my films. She might have watched Gangs of Wasseypur discreetly. But, she keeps criticizing me for my dance,” he said.

Talking about her reactions, he added in a light tone, “She asks me not to do it. I am a poor dancer. She has destroyed my confidence. I am low on confidence about dancing now. I will try again. It is not necessary for everything to be perfect, some people just want to have fun,” said Nawazuddin.

In an earlier interview with Film Companion, he had also shared how serious she is about acting. He said, “My daughter is taking training right now. She herself went and got admitted to the performing arts faculty, haath jod ke teacher ke saamne (with folded hands in front of her teacher) she said, ‘I want to learn acting,’”

On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will next be seen in Main Actor Nahin Hoon, directed by Aditya Kripalani. He is also part of Tumbbad 2, which recently started filming. The film is directed by Adesh Prasad and features Sohum Shah returning to his role, while also working as a co producer.

Overall, Nawazuddin’s comments show a simple and honest family dynamic, where his daughter openly shares her opinions while also following her own interest in acting.

Aamir Khan Was Scolded On Lagaan Set

0

The film Lagaan is still remembered for its story, music, and strong performances. But apart from what was seen on screen, there were many interesting moments behind the scenes that people are still learning about. In a recent conversation with Just Too Filmy, Aamir Khan shared one such incident from the set. Even though he was the lead actor and also the producer, he was treated like everyone else when it came to following rules.

Talking about the experience, he said, “Lagaan had so many actors, and she was the second AD. She had to plan all the timings—about who would come at what time, who would have breakfast when, etc. They used to keep 15 minutes for breakfast, and I eat slowly, I do everything slowly, so I told them to call me 15 minutes earlier. She scolded me and said, ‘For you, the whole hair and makeup team will not come 15 minutes earlier’.”

The assistant director he mentioned was Reema Kagti. Aamir explained that she did not hesitate to speak strictly, even to him. He said, “I’m the producer and she is scolding me. I said, ‘It takes time for me.’ She said, ‘I don’t care, you have to come…’ She spoke to me very harshly. I felt hurt. So I said, ‘From now on, I will not have breakfast.’ It didn’t affect her; she said, ‘Very good, you can be ready on time then.’ After a week, exhausted, I went back to having breakfast there again.”

This shows how seriously discipline was followed during the shoot. Director Ashutosh Gowariker made sure that everyone stayed on schedule.

Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia also shared another incident in an interview with Friday Talkies. He explained how strict the rules were, even for Aamir. “There were clear instructions that the bus would leave at a fixed time, with only a three-minute grace period for anyone running late. On the third day, Aamir was late. Ronit Roy was handling security, and everyone was already seated on the bus, waiting for him. Everyone was looking at me, wondering what I would do. I was nervous, but I knew I had to set an example,” he said.

He further added, “I told the driver to leave Aamir behind, but he refused. Ronit was standing at the door of the bus, waiting for Aamir. At one point, I just kicked Ronit. He fell out, and I grabbed the driver by the neck and told him, ‘I will break your neck if you don’t start driving.”

Despite the situation, Aamir understood why such strict rules were needed for a big film like Lagaan. Released in June 2001, the film became one of the most well known films in Indian cinema. It was nominated for the Oscar in the Best Foreign Language Film category and won eight National Film Awards.

Victoria Beckham and David Beckham left heartbroken as Brooklyn Beckham freeze out continues

0

Behind the polished image and perfectly curated appearances, things are clearly not okay inside the Beckham family. Victoria Beckham was in New York this week celebrating a major moment with her Gap collaboration and being named one of Time’s most influential people. She had David Beckham, Cruz, and Harper by her side. Everything looked picture perfect. Except one very obvious absence.

Brooklyn Beckham was not there. And it was not just a one off. Reports suggest it has been nearly a year since Brooklyn has had any real contact with his parents. That is not a small family disagreement. That is a full breakdown.

Sources say the family is shocked and deeply sad that things have gone on this long. At one point, there was hope they would reconcile before the upcoming World Cup, but now even that seems unlikely.

Brooklyn has made his stance pretty clear. Earlier this year, he publicly called out his parents, accusing them of prioritizing their brand over their children. He said he did not want to reconcile and that he was finally standing up for himself.

That kind of statement does not come out of nowhere.

At the same time, his relationship with Nicola Peltz continues to be seen as a major factor in the tension. Some sources say she believes the Beckham family is not good for him. Others insist Brooklyn fully owns his decisions and that this is not just about his marriage.

Either way, the damage seems deep.

What makes it worse is how visible the distance has become. Brooklyn has missed major family moments including Victoria’s fashion shows, David’s 50th birthday celebrations, and even key milestones that once would have been non negotiable for a family that always presented itself as tight knit.

There are also layers of history here that have never really settled. Issues around Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding, conflicting stories from both sides, and moments that clearly created long term resentment. None of it was ever fully resolved, and now it is all catching up.

What stands out the most is that the family has not completely shut the door. Sources say David and Victoria are still open to reconnecting whenever Brooklyn is ready. But right now, everything feels frozen.

And that is the reality behind the headlines. A family that built its identity on unity is now dealing with distance that does not seem to be closing anytime soon.

Euphoria Wedding Episode Was Pure Chaos and Cassie Finally Unravels

0

Let’s start with Cassie’s mom, because that scene was not advice. It was straight-up emotional dumping. Right before Cassie walks down the aisle, she unloads all her unresolved anger about Cassie’s dad, talking about how he was never there and how marriage basically fell apart after the wedding. That’s not guidance, that’s projecting trauma onto your daughter at the worst possible moment.

You can literally see the shift in Cassie Howard after that. Things start spiraling fast.

Then there’s Jules Vaughn, who actually gets meaningful moments this episode, especially her interactions with both Nate Jacobs and Cal. Seeing Eric Dane back as Cal hits differently this time. There’s an emotional weight there that feels very real, and knowing he’s dealing with serious health issues off-screen just makes his performance feel even heavier. You can tell he’s giving everything he has.

Maddie’s presence is another subtle but powerful layer. When Maddy Perez walks in, you don’t need dialogue. It’s all in her eyes. The history with Nate is still there, unresolved and messy. You can see those feelings resurface for a moment, and then she removes herself from it. That quiet exit says more than any confrontation would have.

And then everything just collapses.

Cassie gets drunk, completely loses control, and starts exposing Nate in front of everyone, calling him out for being a con artist drowning in debt. The “perfect wedding” image shatters instantly.

What follows is brutal.

While Nate is getting absolutely destroyed in front of her, things escalate to a level that is genuinely shocking. He doesn’t just get beaten, he loses a finger. That’s how violent it gets.

And Cassie?

She is crying about her ruined wedding. About her nose bleeding. About how her “perfect night” is over.

That contrast is what makes the whole thing hit so hard. Her husband is literally being beaten to the point of mutilation right in front of her, and she cannot look past herself. All she cares about is the aesthetic, the moment, the image she built in her head. The same image that included spending $50,000 on flowers instead of dealing with reality.

It’s uncomfortable to watch, but it’s also the clearest the show has ever been about her character.

At this point, it’s hard to see Cassie as just a victim. She is deeply self-destructive, self-centered, and fully committed to the illusion she created, even when it’s collapsing around her.

And that’s why it works.

Sydney Sweeney plays her in a way that makes you frustrated, almost angry, but you still understand exactly how she got here. The whole episode feels like the consequences are finally catching up. The lies, the denial, the obsession with perfection, it all explodes in one night. Nothing about that wedding was ever going to end well. And the way it fell apart didn’t feel shocking.

One thing that really did not work this episode, though, was the music. Euphoria has always relied heavily on its sound, and the absence of Labrinth is very noticeable this season. The background score in this episode just did not hit. Moments that should have felt intense or emotional felt flat instead. For a show that built its identity around atmosphere, that drop in quality is honestly kind of embarrassing.

And now, somehow, we end with Cassie and Nate actually married. A completely broken, chaotic, financially messy couple tied together after one of the most disastrous weddings possible.

The whole episode feels like the consequences are finally catching up. The lies, the denial, the obsession with perfection, it all explodes in one night.

Nothing about that wedding was ever going to end well. And the way it fell apart didn’t feel shocking.

It felt earned.

Meryl Streep Gets Emotional Over a Full-Circle Moment From Sophie’s Choice

0

Sometimes Hollywood stories don’t need drama, they just need time.

During a recent interview, Meryl Streep had a genuinely emotional moment that reminded everyone why she’s not just a great actor, but someone who clearly cares deeply about the people she’s worked with. While promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2 alongside Stanley Tucci, the conversation unexpectedly shifted to her iconic role in Sophie’s Choice. And that’s when things got real.

She was shown a video message from Jennifer Lawn Lejeune, the child actor who played her daughter in the film. At first, Streep didn’t realize who she was watching. Then it clicked.

And you can literally see it hit her.

Lejeune spoke about how kind Streep was to her on set, even saying she once told her real mother that Streep was her “favorite mother.” That’s not just cute, that says a lot about the environment Streep created while filming something as emotionally heavy as Sophie’s Choice.

The reaction from Streep was instant. Shock, then emotion, then tears. She clutched her chest, looked up, and just took it in. No performance, no filter, just a real human moment.

What makes this even more powerful is the context. Sophie’s Choice is not an easy film. It’s built around one of the most devastating moral dilemmas ever put on screen. The bond between Sophie and her daughter had to feel real, otherwise the entire film falls apart.

And clearly, it was real enough that decades later, that connection still exists.

Lejeune even talked about filming that heartbreaking separation scene multiple times, saying she genuinely felt like it was “the end of the world.” That kind of emotional authenticity doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from trust between actors, especially when one of them is a child.

Streep called the moment “a gift,” which honestly sums it up perfectly. In an industry that moves fast and forgets even faster, it’s rare to see something come back around like this.

No scandal, no chaos, no spectacle. Just a reminder that some performances leave a mark not just on audiences, but on the people who were part of them.

And sometimes, decades later, that mark comes back and hits you all over again.

Check out Noah Kahan – American Cars Song Lyrics

One, two, three

I was workin’ on a plan to disappear completely
Gaslightin’ my friends into thinkin’ I was busy
‘Cause if drinkin’ was a day job, I’d be askin’ for more money
Hell, I never take a day off, and I’m always sellin’ somethin’

Headlights, your plates, 4CB3A
Didn’t know you drove American cars
Ray-Bans on your face, you’ve been drivin’ all day
But you’re here and we’re so grateful you are

‘Cause you’re gonna fix it, you’re gonna patch it up
‘Cause, honey, we’re fragile, you’ve always been so tough
You know that I miss you, you always come runnin’ back
Whenever I ask, whenever I ask

And I hate to drag you back here, but I think he’s really lost it
He’s been sittin’ on the porch, oh, ranting like a prophet
And I can’t stand the nights, yeah, that dinner time silence
I cut the tension with a knife, and I pray you started drivin’
Headlights, your plates, 4CB3A
Didn’t know you drove American cars
Ray-Bans on your face, you’ve been drivin’ all day
But you’re home and I’m so grateful you are

‘Cause you’re gonna fix it, you’re gonna patch it up
Honey, we’re fragile, you’ve always been so tough
You know that I missed you, you always come runnin’ back
Whenever I ask, whenever I ask

Make him talk, make it stop, all I want is a dialogue
Oh, we’re drownin’ here, I’ve gotta stay for Mom
Make the house a home, you know how to talk
Well, you did back then, we would talk so much
And it’s fine we don’t, but can you come home?

‘Cause you gotta fix this, you gotta patch it up
‘Cause, baby, we’re fragile, you always were so tough
You know that I miss you, you always come runnin’ back
Whenever I ask, whenever I ask

You know that I miss you, you always come runnin’ back
Whenever I ask, whenever I ask
Oh, whenever I ask
Oh, whenever I ask, whenever I ask
