Dipika Kakkar has been recovering after being diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. A few months ago, the 39 year old actress underwent surgery to remove a large tumor. Later, a cyst developed in her stomach, which was treated through a procedure in March this year.

Recently, her latest MRI scan has shown two new small cysts. This has raised some concern, but doctors have said that these cysts are very small and cannot be removed at this stage. They have advised regular monitoring to ensure there are no further complications.

In a vlog, Dipika and her husband Shoaib Ibrahim shared details about her health. Shoaib said, “In the MRI, two small cysts were seen. The cysts are so small that they wouldn’t have been seen in a CT scan, but since MRI is sensitive, they were spotted.”

Dipika explained the current situation and said, “They are very small now, so we cannot take any action on them for now. We will repeat this scan after a month. It has become like a routine now; we have to get scans done frequently. We have to keep a close watch; God forbid if anything is seen in the scans, we can immediately treat it, like we did with the cyst recently, through the process called RFA.”

Shoaib also shared that Dipika will soon begin immunotherapy as part of her treatment. According to doctors, she will need to visit the hospital every 20 to 21 days, and each session may take around five hours.

At the beginning of the vlog, Dipika mentioned that she felt very nervous before going for the MRI scan and ended up crying. She said that expressing her emotions helped her feel calmer before the procedure.

Overall, her treatment is ongoing, and regular medical checkups will be important in tracking her recovery and managing any further health concerns.

The Mummy Lee Cronin film, released in India as Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, has emerged as an unexpected performer at the box office. The film has collected around Rs. 10.85 crore in its first four days. Its trend so far has been steady, with the film earning Rs. 1.80 crore on Monday, which is only about 10 per cent lower than its opening day collection.

A notable aspect of the film’s performance is its strong showing in South India. More than half of its total earnings are coming from this region. Within South India, Tamil Nadu is the top contributor, accounting for nearly one fourth of the overall box office. Usually, Mumbai leads for Hollywood releases, followed by Delhi UP and Mysore, but in this case Tamil Nadu has taken the lead, with APTS also contributing.

The film opened with Rs. 2.00 crore on Friday. Since most of its business was expected from the South, there was an assumption that collections would be higher at the start and then slow down. However, the film showed growth instead. On Saturday, it increased by nearly 60 per cent, and on Sunday, collections almost doubled compared to the first day. The stable performance on Monday suggests that the film may continue to do well in the coming days.

Although it may not reach the level of films like F1 The Movie or Project Hail Mary, its current trend indicates a healthy run. Earlier, the film was expected to finish around Rs. 20 crore, but now it may reach close to Rs. 30 crore, which would be a strong result for a small budget Hollywood film.

The original The Mummy trilogy had a strong history in India. The 1999 film earned around Rs. 20 crore, while its sequels collected Rs. 27 crore in 2001 and Rs. 48 crore in 2008. When adjusted to today’s value, these figures are around Rs. 200 crore. Even though this film is not part of that series, the familiar name may have helped attract viewers.

Bhooth Bangla collected just over Rs. 6.00 crore nett on Monday, showing a drop of under 50 per cent compared to Friday. This is considered a stable hold for a weekday. With this, the film’s total collection has reached around Rs. 61.75 crore nett in India.

The film has also introduced a discounted ticket pricing on Tuesday, which is expected to increase footfall in theatres. Based on current trends, the first week total is likely to reach around Rs. 78 crore nett. The performance on Monday suggests that the film is still on track to achieve a successful run, although it needs to maintain steady numbers in the coming days.

To stay on course, the film will need to perform well during the weekdays. A collection of around Rs. 5 crore nett on Wednesday and about Rs. 4.50 crore on the second Friday will be important. If it manages to reach close to Rs. 5 crore on that Friday, it could strengthen its position at the box office.

An important factor in its performance is that it has avoided a sharp weekday drop, unlike Jolly LLB 3. That film had a strong weekend but saw a significant decline during the weekdays and could not recover, which affected its overall performance.

In comparison, Bhooth Bangla performed at a similar level to Jolly LLB 3 on Friday and Saturday. It then moved ahead by about 10 per cent on Sunday and increased that lead to over 15 per cent on Monday. If this trend continues, the film may continue to grow its collections.

Rajinikanth has completed the shooting of his upcoming film Jailer 2, marking an important stage in the project. The production house Sun Pictures shared images from the celebration on social media. The caption read, “Alapparai Kelappurom, Thalaivaru Nerandharam! It’s a wrap for #Jailer2.” Fans also shared their reactions online. One of the fans wrote, “Can’t wait.” Another wrote, “Yov Vasanth Ravi , Nee Enna Ya Inga.”

At the same time, the film has faced an issue after a video from the sets was leaked online before release. The clip is being circulated on social media, which has raised concern among the makers. In response, Sun Pictures released a statement requesting people not to share the video.

The statement said, “We would like to bring to your attention that a Video clip from the sets of ‘Jailer 2’ is currently being circulated on social media platforms. Our anti piracy team is actively monitoring the situation and will be taking necessary action to remove such content, including initiating measures against accounts involved in sharing or promoting these clips.”

It further added, “We kindly request members of the media and fans club to refrain from using, sharing, or reposting this video, in order to avoid any potential suspension or restrictions on their accounts. Please note that the production will not be held responsible for any such actions taken or to retrieve the accounts.”

This is the second such incident in a month in the Tamil film industry. Earlier, a video from Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay, was also leaked online.

Following that incident, legal action was taken by KVN Productions LLP. The team issued a public notice warning against sharing any leaked material. Reports stated that eight people and a freelance assistant editor were arrested in that case.

Jailer 2 has attracted attention due to the success of its first part, which earned around Rs 650 crores. The shooting of the sequel began in Chennai on March 10 this year.
