Haunted 3D Ghosts Of The Past Motion Poster Released

0

Producer Anand Pandit and director Vikram Bhatt have released a 41 second motion poster for their upcoming film Haunted 3D Ghosts Of The Past. Along with the poster, they confirmed that the film will release in theatres on June 12 2026.

The film is a sequel to Haunted 3D and brings back Mimoh Chakraborty in a leading role. The cast also includes Chetna Pande and Shruti Prakash, along with other actors.

The story follows a man who reaches a remote mansion and begins to uncover hidden secrets linked to the past. The film is expected to focus on supernatural elements and suspense, continuing the horror style that Vikram Bhatt is known for.

According to the makers, the film will use improved 3D technology to create a more engaging viewing experience. The aim is to make the scenes feel more real and increase the impact of the horror moments.

This project also marks the second collaboration between Anand Pandit and Vikram Bhatt after 1920 Horrors Of The Heart. Their earlier film also explored horror themes, and this new project continues in a similar genre.

After the motion poster was released, reactions on social media have been mixed. While some viewers are interested in seeing another film from the Haunted series, others have questioned the visual quality shown in the teaser. A section of online users has also expressed doubts about how the film will perform at the box office.

Despite the mixed response, the film has generated attention due to its connection with the earlier Haunted film and its focus on 3D horror. More details about the story and promotions are expected to be shared closer to the release date.

The Mummy Surprises With Strong India Box Office Run

The Mummy Lee Cronin film, released in India as Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, has emerged as an unexpected performer at the box office. The film has collected around Rs. 10.85 crore in its first four days. Its trend so far has been steady, with the film earning Rs. 1.80 crore on Monday, which is only about 10 per cent lower than its opening day collection.

A notable aspect of the film’s performance is its strong showing in South India. More than half of its total earnings are coming from this region. Within South India, Tamil Nadu is the top contributor, accounting for nearly one fourth of the overall box office. Usually, Mumbai leads for Hollywood releases, followed by Delhi UP and Mysore, but in this case Tamil Nadu has taken the lead, with APTS also contributing.

The film opened with Rs. 2.00 crore on Friday. Since most of its business was expected from the South, there was an assumption that collections would be higher at the start and then slow down. However, the film showed growth instead. On Saturday, it increased by nearly 60 per cent, and on Sunday, collections almost doubled compared to the first day. The stable performance on Monday suggests that the film may continue to do well in the coming days.

Although it may not reach the level of films like F1 The Movie or Project Hail Mary, its current trend indicates a healthy run. Earlier, the film was expected to finish around Rs. 20 crore, but now it may reach close to Rs. 30 crore, which would be a strong result for a small budget Hollywood film.

The original The Mummy trilogy had a strong history in India. The 1999 film earned around Rs. 20 crore, while its sequels collected Rs. 27 crore in 2001 and Rs. 48 crore in 2008. When adjusted to today’s value, these figures are around Rs. 200 crore. Even though this film is not part of that series, the familiar name may have helped attract viewers.

Day wise box office collection in India is as follows:

Friday Rs. 2.00 cr.
Saturday Rs. 3.10 cr.
Sunday Rs. 3.95 cr.
Monday Rs. 1.80 cr.

Total Rs. 10.85 cr.

Overall, the film has shown consistent growth and could end up being a successful release in India.

Joe Jonas Goes Public With Tatiana Gabriela Shares Romantic Pictures With Her

Joe Jonas has confirmed his relationship with model Tatiana Gabriela, nearly two years after his separation from actor Sophie Turner. The singer, who is part of the Jonas Brothers, made the relationship public on Instagram. He shared a set of photos from a recent trip to Puerto Rico.

The pictures showed the couple spending time together in different settings, including posing in a photo booth, watching sunsets by the beach, exploring the island, and trying local food. Along with the photos, Jonas wrote, “If you’re seeing this, it means my Puerto Rico YouTube video is up now.”

The announcement comes after dating rumours that started in November last year. Jonas also shared more moments from their trip in a YouTube vlog. The video shows the couple spending relaxed time together while travelling around Puerto Rico. In one part of the vlog, Gabriela is seen helping Jonas learn Spanish.

Speaking in the video, Jonas said, “She’s helping with my Spanish,” and later added, “Then we went to a waterfall, we jumped in, it was so nice,” describing a moment from their trip.

In earlier interviews, Jonas has spoken about the challenges of balancing personal life with his work schedule. He said, “Five shows in a row doesn’t make it easy to meet someone for coffee,” explaining how his busy routine affects his ability to build relationships. He also mentioned that many of his recent connections have happened through social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

Jonas has also talked about his relationship with his former wife Sophie Turner. He has described their co parenting arrangement as positive and respectful. In one of his statements, he said, “I have a beautiful co parenting relationship that I’m really grateful for,” and also called Turner “an incredible mum.”

Jonas and Turner finalised their divorce in 2024 after a custody dispute, officially ending their marriage.

Mariah Carey shrugs off Rock & Roll Hall of Fame snub and focuses on what really matters

0

If there is one thing Mariah Carey is going to do, it is stay unbothered. After being passed over yet again by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the global icon made it very clear that she is not losing sleep over it. This marks the third time she has been eligible and not selected, but according to Carey, it simply does not matter. Her response was as direct as it gets. She essentially brushed it off, telling fans and media alike that the honor can go to someone else. No drama, no long statements, just a very on-brand level of confidence.

And honestly, it tracks.

Because while the Hall of Fame debates continue, Mariah Carey is busy doing something far more important in her world: preparing for Christmas.

Yes, in April.

For most artists, that might sound ridiculous. But for Carey, Christmas is not just a season, it is an empire. Her timeless hit All I Want for Christmas Is You continues to dominate charts year after year, turning her into the undisputed queen of the holiday. From tours to themed projects and everything in between, she has built an entire cultural moment around it.

So while fans might feel frustrated on her behalf, Carey herself seems completely at peace with where she stands. And realistically, her legacy does not depend on any single institution recognizing it.

With over 200 million records sold and a record-breaking number of chart-topping hits, her impact on music is already undeniable. Awards or not, she has cemented her place in pop history.

If anything, her reaction says more than any acceptance speech could.

She knows exactly who she is, what she has built, and where her priorities lie. And right now, that priority is getting ready to take over December all over again. Because at the end of the day, Mariah Carey does not need the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame needs Mariah Carey.

Bhooth Bangla Holds Strong On Monday At Box Office

Bhooth Bangla collected just over Rs. 6.00 crore nett on Monday, showing a drop of under 50 per cent compared to Friday. This is considered a stable hold for a weekday. With this, the film’s total collection has reached around Rs. 61.75 crore nett in India.

The film has also introduced a discounted ticket pricing on Tuesday, which is expected to increase footfall in theatres. Based on current trends, the first week total is likely to reach around Rs. 78 crore nett. The performance on Monday suggests that the film is still on track to achieve a successful run, although it needs to maintain steady numbers in the coming days.

To stay on course, the film will need to perform well during the weekdays. A collection of around Rs. 5 crore nett on Wednesday and about Rs. 4.50 crore on the second Friday will be important. If it manages to reach close to Rs. 5 crore on that Friday, it could strengthen its position at the box office.

An important factor in its performance is that it has avoided a sharp weekday drop, unlike Jolly LLB 3. That film had a strong weekend but saw a significant decline during the weekdays and could not recover, which affected its overall performance.

In comparison, Bhooth Bangla performed at a similar level to Jolly LLB 3 on Friday and Saturday. It then moved ahead by about 10 per cent on Sunday and increased that lead to over 15 per cent on Monday. If this trend continues, the film may continue to grow its collections.

The day wise box office collection in India is as follows:

Previews Rs. 3.50 cr.
Friday Rs. 11.75 cr.
Saturday Rs. 18.50 cr.
Sunday Rs. 22.00 cr.
Monday Rs. 6.00 cr.

Total Rs. 61.75 cr.

Overall, the film has shown steady performance after a strong weekend and will depend on weekday collections to decide its final outcome at the box office.

Rajinikanth Wraps Jailer 2 Shoot Amid Leak Controversy

0

Rajinikanth has completed the shooting of his upcoming film Jailer 2, marking an important stage in the project. The team celebrated the occasion with a cake cutting ceremony attended by the cast and crew. Photos and videos from the event have appeared online, showing a relaxed and happy atmosphere on set.

The production house Sun Pictures shared images from the celebration on social media. The caption read, “Alapparai Kelappurom, Thalaivaru Nerandharam! It’s a wrap for #Jailer2.” Fans also shared their reactions online. One of the fans wrote, “Can’t wait.” Another wrote, “Yov Vasanth Ravi , Nee Enna Ya Inga.”

At the same time, the film has faced an issue after a video from the sets was leaked online before release. The clip is being circulated on social media, which has raised concern among the makers. In response, Sun Pictures released a statement requesting people not to share the video.

The statement said, “We would like to bring to your attention that a Video clip from the sets of ‘Jailer 2’ is currently being circulated on social media platforms. Our anti piracy team is actively monitoring the situation and will be taking necessary action to remove such content, including initiating measures against accounts involved in sharing or promoting these clips.”

It further added, “We kindly request members of the media and fans club to refrain from using, sharing, or reposting this video, in order to avoid any potential suspension or restrictions on their accounts. Please note that the production will not be held responsible for any such actions taken or to retrieve the accounts.”

This is the second such incident in a month in the Tamil film industry. Earlier, a video from Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay, was also leaked online.

Following that incident, legal action was taken by KVN Productions LLP. The team issued a public notice warning against sharing any leaked material. Reports stated that eight people and a freelance assistant editor were arrested in that case.

Jailer 2 has attracted attention due to the success of its first part, which earned around Rs 650 crores. The shooting of the sequel began in Chennai on March 10 this year.

Footfalls vs Ticket Prices: Is Bollywood’s Box Office Growth Real or Inflated?

0

The obsession with box office milestones in Bollywood has never been louder. The ₹100 crore club, ₹500 crore benchmarks and now the ₹1000 crore conversation dominate industry discourse. But strip away the headline numbers, and a more uncomfortable question emerges. Are today’s blockbusters truly bigger than the classics, or are we measuring success through an inflated lens?

To understand this, one has to go back to Kismet. Often cited as India’s first ₹1 crore grosser, the film achieved this at a time when ticket prices were measured in annas. Adjusted for inflation and more importantly for footfalls, Kismet’s reach would dwarf most modern releases. It wasn’t just a hit, it was a nationwide phenomenon in an era with limited screens.

The same argument becomes even stronger with Sholay. While its ₹10 crore figure is often quoted as a milestone, trade veterans have long pointed out that Sholay sold an estimated 15–20 crore tickets in India. In today’s terms, that level of theatrical penetration is virtually unheard of. Even the biggest modern blockbusters operate in a far more fragmented audience environment.

The ₹100 crore benchmark, popularised by Ghajini, marked a shift not just in box office reporting but in perception. For the first time, a number became a brand. However, multiplex expansion had already pushed average ticket prices significantly higher by this point. What appeared to be exponential growth in revenue was, in part, a reflection of rising ticket costs rather than proportionate audience growth.

Even global success stories like Disco Dancer, which crossed ₹100 crore worldwide largely on the back of the Soviet market, highlight a different reality. Its success was driven by massive audience turnout across territories, not premium pricing or limited high-value screens.

The modern era’s defining moment arguably came with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Its ₹500 crore Hindi net collection demonstrated the power of pan-India storytelling and event cinema. Yet even here, the scale was achieved through a combination of wider release, higher ticket prices, and repeat premium-format viewings rather than unprecedented footfall records.

Now, as films push towards and beyond the ₹1000 crore mark, the gap between revenue and actual audience size becomes even more pronounced. A ₹1000 crore grosser today does not necessarily mean it has been watched by more people than Sholay or other pre-multiplex era blockbusters.

This is not to diminish contemporary success. If anything, it highlights how the business model has evolved. Today’s films operate in a high-cost, high-return ecosystem driven by multiplex economics, overseas markets, and digital amplification. The definition of a “hit” has shifted from how many people watched a film to how much revenue each viewer generates.

The real trade insight lies in recognising that box office milestones are no longer directly comparable across eras. A ₹100 crore film in 2008, a ₹500 crore film in 2017, and a ₹1000 crore film today exist in entirely different economic ecosystems.

Perhaps the industry needs to revisit an older metric that has quietly faded from mainstream conversation: footfalls. Because while revenue defines business success, audience volume defines cultural impact. And in that metric, many of Bollywood’s biggest milestones may still belong to the past.

In the end, the question is not whether today’s films are bigger. It is whether they are reaching as many people.

Troll Targets Ssara Khan Over Interfaith Marriage, Actress Hits Back Boldly

0

Being in the public eye often means dealing with both love and criticism, and actress Ssara Khan recently faced the darker side of social media. She shared a shocking message she received from a social media user who criticized her personal life, especially her decision to marry outside her religion. The actress posted a screenshot of the message on her Instagram Stories, bringing attention to the kind of negativity that celebrities often deal with online.

The message sent by the user was filled with judgment and harsh comments. The person questioned why Ssara chose to marry someone from a different religion and even suggested that she should remove “Khan” from her name, implying that she was no longer true to her identity. These comments clearly showed intolerance and unnecessary interference in her personal choices. Instead of ignoring it, Ssara decided to call it out publicly.

Responding in her own style, Ssara used sarcasm to shut down the troll. She wrote a sharp reply saying that if the person was so disappointed, they could deal with it themselves. Her response, while humorous on the surface, also highlighted how tiring and upsetting such comments can be. By sharing this exchange, she made it clear that such hate has no place in today’s world.

For those who may not know, Ssara Khan got married to Krish Pathak in December last year. The couple had been in a relationship for a long time before deciding to get married. Their wedding was special because it respected both their religions. They followed both Hindu and Muslim rituals, showing mutual respect and understanding. Ssara had shared beautiful moments from her wedding on social media, along with a caption that reflected their journey of love and acceptance.

Before this marriage, Ssara was married to Ali Merchant, but the two later separated. Despite past experiences, she has moved forward and built a new chapter in her life.

This incident once again brings attention to how social media can sometimes become a space for negativity and judgment. However, Ssara’s confident and bold response sends a strong message about standing up for personal choices and not letting hate overshadow happiness.
