Actress-turned-politician Hema Malini appeared visibly disturbed while leaving the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where her husband and legendary actor Dharmendra has been admitted. In photos and videos that surfaced online, Hema sat in her car along with her daughter Esha Deol, both of them looking concerned while paying a visit to the hospital on Tuesday.

The visit came within hours of the family dismissing rumours about Dharmendra’s health and death. Frustrated, Hema Malini took to X to condemn the rumour mongering. “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and recovering? This is extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy,” she wrote.

Earlier, Esha Deol had also reacted to the rumors and updated the fans on her Instagram account. “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery,” she wrote.

The 88-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital on November 1 due to breathing difficulties. After his admission, some media reports claimed that he was shifted to the ICU and put on a ventilator. Sunny Deol’s team immediately denied the rumors and said that Dharmendra was fine. “Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy,” read the official statement.

Actress and jewelry designer Riddhima Kapoor expressed her anguish in an emotional Instagram post, writing, “My prayers for those who have lost their lives and their families and for those who are injured. Saddened at the blast, may they find the culprits and punish them severely. Prayers and more prayers.”

Actors Vineet Kumar Singh and Neha Sharma also joined the chorus of grief. “Shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic blast in #Delhi.
