Krishnavataram Part 1 Holds Steady But Still Waits For A Big Box Office Breakthrough

Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart completed its second week at the Indian box office with a total collection of Rs. 21.50 crore nett. The film earned around Rs. 90 lakh on its second Thursday, taking the second week total to approximately Rs. 9.75 crore nett.

Starring Siddharth Gupta, Sanskruti Jayana, Sushmitha Bhat and Nivaashiyni Krishnan, the mythological fantasy drama has managed to hold steady during weekdays with only a small drop compared to the first week.

Trade experts believe the stable performance is encouraging considering the relatively fresh cast involved in the project. However, the current collections are still not considered strong enough when compared to the film’s reported production cost.

The movie now needs a major jump during its third weekend to improve its overall box office performance. Industry discussions have compared its journey with films like Laalo Krishna Sada Sahayate and Mahavatar Narsimha, both of which witnessed unexpected growth after slow starts.

Mahavatar Narsimha, for example, had opened with only Rs. 1.25 crore nett on Day 1 but later showed massive growth over the weekend. The film eventually went on to collect around Rs. 170 crore nett in Hindi after strong audience support and positive word of mouth.

Trade analysts say mythological films often behave unpredictably at the box office, with some films gaining momentum much later in their theatrical run. Because of this, there is still curiosity around whether Krishnavataram Part 1 can witness similar growth in the coming weeks.

The film opened with preview collections of Rs. 0.40 crore before earning Rs. 1.05 crore on Friday. Collections increased over the first weekend with Rs. 2.15 crore on Saturday and Rs. 3.20 crore on Sunday. During the second weekend, the film again showed decent growth with Rs. 2 crore on Saturday and Rs. 2.85 crore on Sunday.

Despite its stable performance so far, the film’s long term success will largely depend on how strongly it performs during the upcoming weekends.

Millie Bobby Brown Sparks Speculation After Seemingly Revealing Daughter’s Name

0

Fans believe Millie Bobby Brown may have quietly revealed her daughter’s name in a recent social media post. The actress, who welcomed a baby girl with husband Jake Bongiovi through adoption in 2025, shared a sunny bikini photo on Instagram that quickly caught the attention of followers. Rather than focusing on the vacation-style snapshot itself, fans zeroed in on a necklace she was wearing that appeared to spell out the name “Ruth.”

The jewelry sparked immediate speculation online, with many wondering whether Brown had subtly revealed her daughter’s name for the first time. The couple has largely kept their child out of the public eye, choosing not to share photos of her face or many personal details since announcing her arrival.

Some fans have pointed to another clue that surfaced recently. Brown was reportedly seen carrying a phone case featuring the initials “RWB,” which many interpreted as further evidence that her daughter’s name could indeed be Ruth.

However, there is another possible explanation. The name may be a tribute to Brown’s late grandmother, Ruth, who passed away in 2020 and has been referenced by the actress in the past. Neither Brown nor Bongiovi has publicly confirmed whether the necklace refers to their daughter or to her grandmother.

The couple announced their adoption news in August 2025, sharing that they had welcomed a baby girl earlier that summer.

At the time, they wrote that they were excited to begin “this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

In a later interview, Brown opened up about motherhood and how it has changed her perspective on life.

She described parenting as a joyful experience filled with love, laughter, and cuddles, while also praising Bongiovi as an incredible father and partner.

Whether the necklace was a meaningful tribute to family history or a subtle reveal of her daughter’s name, fans remain convinced that Brown may have dropped her biggest parenting clue yet. Until the couple confirms it themselves, however, the name “Ruth” remains speculation rather than an official announcement.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Struggles Despite Decent Weekend Growth

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do completed its first week at the Indian box office with a total collection of Rs. 28.15 crore nett. The film earned around Rs. 1.90 crore on Day 7, showing a drop of nearly 30 per cent compared to Wednesday.

Trade reports suggest the decline was partly due to reduced feeding and screen adjustments. According to current estimates, Thursday’s number is believed to be closer to the film’s actual box office performance level.

The movie opened with Rs. 3.75 crore on Friday and showed growth over the weekend. Saturday collected Rs. 5.50 crore, while Sunday emerged as the strongest day with Rs. 7.75 crore. However, the collections slowed down during the weekdays. Monday earned Rs. 3 crore, Tuesday added Rs. 3.50 crore and Wednesday brought in Rs. 2.75 crore before Thursday closed at Rs. 1.90 crore.

While the weekday hold is considered decent when compared to the opening Friday numbers, the main issue remains the low opening itself. Industry analysts believe the film needed a much stronger start to emerge as a successful theatrical release.

The film now faces additional competition from Chand Mera Dil during its second weekend. Based on current trends, trade expectations suggest the film may end its theatrical run between Rs. 45 crore and Rs. 50 crore nett in India.

The performance of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do also reflects the larger struggle faced by small and mid budget comedy films after the pandemic. Before 2020, small town comedies were consistently performing well at the box office, especially during 2018 and 2019.

Ayushmann Khurrana was one of the leading stars in this genre during that period, delivering several successful films with strong openings and good audience response. Trade experts believe that if a film like Pati Patni Aur Woh Do had released before the pandemic, its opening numbers could have been significantly higher.

Despite some stable weekday collections, the film has largely been viewed as an underperformer at the box office due to its overall business numbers and limited growth potential in the coming weeks.

Drishyam 3 Opens With Massive Rs. 18 Crore Start At Indian Box Office

Drishyam 3 has finally released in theatres and opened with strong box office numbers across India. The much awaited film starring Mohanlal earned more than Rs. 18 crore gross on its first day at the Indian box office.

The biggest contribution came from Kerala, where the film collected around Rs. 11 crore gross on opening day alone. The strong response once again highlighted the popularity of the Drishyam franchise among Malayalam cinema audiences.

Apart from Kerala, the film also performed very well in other South Indian markets. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Drishyam 3 collected around Rs. 2.15 crore and created a new record for Malayalam films released in Telugu dubbed versions. It reportedly became the biggest Day 1 opener for a Malayalam movie in those regions.

In Karnataka, the movie collected approximately Rs. 2.75 crore, while Tamil Nadu contributed around Rs. 1.20 crore. The rest of the Indian markets added nearly Rs. 1.30 crore, taking the total Indian gross to Rs. 18.40 crore on the first day.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 has now recorded the second biggest opening day for a Malayalam film in India. The movie currently stands behind only L2: Empuraan in terms of opening day collections.

The Drishyam franchise remains one of the most successful and widely loved series in Malayalam cinema. The first film became a major industry hit, while the second installment skipped theatrical release due to the lockdown period and premiered directly on streaming platforms. Because of this, the third part arrived with extremely high audience expectations.

Trade reports suggest that the film is expected to continue gaining momentum over the weekend. With strong word of mouth and loyal franchise fans, Drishyam 3 may emerge as one of the biggest Malayalam hits of the year.

The film is also expected to challenge the collections of major Malayalam releases like Vaazha 2, Lokah Chapter One: Chandra and Thudarum in the coming weeks.

Suriya’s Karuppu Ends Box Office Dry Spell With Massive Rs. 129.50 Crore Week

Karuppu has completed its first week at the Indian box office with a strong total collection of Rs. 129.50 crore approx. The film added around Rs. 9 crore on Thursday, showing a drop of nearly 25 per cent compared to Wednesday. While the decline may appear slightly high, trade experts believe part of it was due to the release of Drishyam 3.

Despite the competition, Karuppu maintained a solid hold during the weekdays. Thursday’s collection remained nearly half of the film’s opening Friday numbers, which is considered a strong performance for a South Indian film.

The film opened with Rs. 19.00 crore on Friday and witnessed major growth over the weekend. Saturday earned Rs. 27.25 crore, while Sunday collected Rs. 31.75 crore. After the weekend, the film continued to perform steadily with Rs. 16.50 crore on Monday, Rs. 14.25 crore on Tuesday and Rs. 11.75 crore on Wednesday before earning Rs. 9 crore on Thursday.

The strongest performance came from Tamil Nadu, where the film remained extremely stable throughout the week. The Thursday collection in the state was around Rs. 6.50 crore approx, making it one of the highest non holiday Thursday collections in Tamil cinema history. The film reportedly moved ahead of Leo and stayed behind only Ponniyin Selvan: I and Vikram in that category.

So far, Karuppu has collected around Rs. 82 crore approx in Tamil Nadu alone and is expected to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark in the state during the second weekend. Reports suggest the film may finish its full theatrical run above Rs. 150 crore in Tamil Nadu.

The movie also performed well in other regions. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs. 20.25 crore, Karnataka added Rs. 14.50 crore and Kerala collected Rs. 10.75 crore. The rest of India contributed around Rs. 2 crore.

For Suriya, Karuppu marks an important comeback after a difficult period at the box office. The film’s success also arrives at a crucial time for the Tamil film industry, which is currently looking for major stars to lead large scale theatrical releases.

Check out Olivia Rodrigo – the cure Song Lyrics

All the pretty girls in the foreground of my mind
I thought I’d done enough, but they keep moving the line
I thought I found the antidote this time
I thought I found the antidote this time

All the nights I spend fighting bad thoughts in my room
Feeling so alone, might as well be on the moon
I thought I found the antidote with you
I thought I found the antidote with you

But my head is full of poison
And my heart is full of doubt
I got toxins in my bloodstream
You tried hard to suck them out
And it feels like medication
And it’s good for me I’m sure
But it don’t matter how your love feels anymore
It’ll never be the cure
It’ll never be the cure

Used to play a game in my head
When I’d date a guy
Tally up the girls that he fucked
‘Til I start to cry
I thought I found the antidote this time
I thought I found the antidote this time

But I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled

And my head is full of poison
And my heart is full of doubt
I got toxins in my bloodstream
You tried hard to suck them out
And it feels like medication
And it’s good for me I’m sure
But it don’t matter how your love feels anymore
It’ll never be the cure
It’ll never be the cure

Ohh
‘Cause baby I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled
I’m unraveled

Why can’t you come stitch me up?
Why can’t it ever be enough?
Why can’t you come stitch me up?
Why can’t it ever be enough?
It’s not enough

Oh because my head is full of poison
And my heart is full of doubt
I got toxins in my bloodstream
You tried so hard to suck out
And it feels like medication
And it’s good for me I’m sure
But it don’t matter how your love feels anymore
It’ll never be the cure
It’ll never be the cure
It’ll never be

Dan Harmon Confirms ‘Rick and Morty’ Movie Is Officially in Development

0

Fans of Rick and Morty may finally be getting the big-screen adventure they have been waiting for. Co-creator Dan Harmon has officially confirmed that an animated Rick and Morty feature film is in development, putting an end to years of speculation surrounding the franchise’s cinematic future. The project is currently being developed by Warner Bros., with longtime series director Jacob Hair reportedly set to direct. According to Harmon, the creative team never considered bringing in an outside filmmaker.

Speaking ahead of the premiere of Season 9, Harmon praised Hair’s contribution to the series and explained why he was the obvious choice to lead the film.

“Jacob Hair is the director. We didn’t shop around,” Harmon said, describing Hair as a foundational part of the show’s success rather than simply another talented director.

Hair joined the animated hit during Season 4 and has directed several of the series’ most acclaimed episodes, including the fan-favorite episodes The Vat of Acid Episode, Rickmurai Jack, Night Family, Unmortricken, and Valkyrick.

While plot details remain tightly under wraps, Harmon has previously shared his vision for what a Rick and Morty movie should look like. Rather than dramatically changing the tone of the franchise, he wants the film to feel like an expanded version of the series itself.

In an earlier interview, Harmon described the concept as taking a classic Rick and Morty adventure, increasing the scale and budget, and stretching it into a feature-length experience without sacrificing the show’s signature humor and chaos.

The movie has been discussed for years behind the scenes. At one point, filmmaker Zack Snyder reportedly offered to help get the project moving through Hollywood, later making a cameo appearance in the animated series.

The franchise continues to evolve following major changes in 2023. Original co-creator and voice actor Justin Roiland exited the series after domestic abuse charges were filed against him. The charges were later dismissed, but Adult Swim had already recast the lead roles, with Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden taking over as the voices of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith.

Beyond Rick and Morty, Hair has worked on projects including Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe, Family Guy, and King of the Hill.

The announcement arrives as Rick and Morty prepares to launch its ninth season. The series has already been renewed through Season 12, and a new spinoff centered on President Curtis is also in development for Adult Swim.

Although the movie remains in the early stages, Harmon’s confirmation marks the clearest sign yet that Rick and Morty’s first theatrical adventure is finally becoming a reality.

The Grammy-winning singer announced the release on social media, expressing how much the song means to her and thanking longtime collaborator Dan Nigro, who co-wrote and produced the track. Rodrigo also credited music video directors Bead Lizard and Cat Solen for helping bring the song’s visual story to life.

According to Rodrigo, The Cure plays a major role in the album’s creative direction. She described the song as the “thesis statement” of the record and revealed that it was the track that helped the entire project come together.

The accompanying music video follows Rodrigo through an emotional journey as she searches for relief from heartbreak, uncertainty, and inner turmoil. The visual mirrors the song’s themes of vulnerability and self-discovery while showcasing the singer’s signature blend of raw emotion and cinematic storytelling. The Cure is the second official single from You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, which is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026. Karan Wahi And Surbhi Jyoti’s Seven And A Half Dates Trailer Begins With A Dating App Mistake

0

Luck Films and Novice Records have released the trailer of their upcoming musical romantic comedy Seven and a Half Dates, which is scheduled to release on May 24. The series stars Karan Wahi and Surbhi Jyoti in the lead roles and will feature 8 original songs.

The project also marks the writing and directorial debut of Shaalien Malhotra, who is mainly known for his acting work. The series has been jointly directed by Shaalien Malhotra and Suyyash Rai.

Seven And A Half Dates is an eight episode romantic drama set in today’s digital world, where dating apps and online conversations shape modern relationships. The story follows Aadar, a disciplined and highly organised app creator, and Aaina, a carefree late night radio jockey with a completely opposite personality.

Their lives unexpectedly cross paths because of a dating app error. What starts as awkward conversations and arguments slowly develops into a deeper emotional connection. As the story moves forward, the two characters experience moments of closeness, misunderstandings, emotional silence and self reflection.

The series also touches upon modern relationship issues like ghosting, fear of commitment, trust problems and emotional insecurity. Instead of presenting a perfect fairytale romance, the show focuses on how two very different individuals try to understand each other while dealing with their personal fears and emotional baggage.

The makers also appear to have given special attention to the musical aspect of the series, with 8 songs being included as part of the storytelling. The emotional and romantic moments shown in the trailer suggest that music will play an important role in shaping the mood of the narrative.

At its core, Seven And A Half Dates is about how love often exists somewhere between control and chaos, especially in modern relationships shaped by technology and emotional uncertainty.

Stephen Colbert Jokes About Joining OnlyFans During Final Late Show Monologue

0

Stephen Colbert signed off from The Late Show with a monologue that felt surprisingly familiar. Rather than turning the finale into a sentimental farewell, the longtime host delivered a typical opening segment packed with jokes about current events, pop culture, and life after late night television. Opening the final episode, Colbert reflected on the show’s 11-year run at New York City’s Ed Sullivan Theater. He joked that while audiences know the program began in 2015, his “real” first show was supposedly broadcast from a public access station in Michigan for just 12 viewers. The self-deprecating humor set the tone for a finale that balanced nostalgia with comedy.

One of the night’s biggest laughs came when Colbert revisited his popular “First Drafts” segment. Showing a greeting card that read, “This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later,” he revealed the fictional original version, which instead asked, “This isn’t goodbye. How do you start an OnlyFans?” The joke immediately fueled speculation about what projects the host could pursue next after leaving late night television.

Although Colbert avoided directly mentioning President Donald Trump during the monologue, he continued his trademark approach of commenting on news headlines. He joked about sinkholes disrupting parts of New York City, including incidents near LaGuardia Airport and in the Bronx. Colbert quipped that even sinkholes seemed determined to avoid Staten Island.

The host also targeted several unusual stories making headlines, including concerns about hantavirus and reports involving a vaccine skeptic who specializes in penile implants. Another segment focused on a dancing robot from China, with Colbert joking that its clumsy performance offered hope that machines might not be ready to take over the world after all.

Throughout the monologue, celebrities repeatedly interrupted the audience. Familiar faces including Bryan Cranston, Tim Meadows, and Paul Rudd appeared to jokingly ask whether they could be the final guest on the program.

The episode represented the end of an era for late-night television. Rather than delivering a lengthy goodbye speech at the beginning, Colbert chose to spend much of his final monologue doing what viewers had watched him do for more than a decade: turning the day’s headlines into comedy.

The result was a farewell that stayed true to the show’s identity. Even on its final night, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert remained focused on humor, current events, and the kind of sharp observations that defined Colbert’s tenure behind the desk.
