Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming Telugu film, “Lucky Baskhar,” has seen a shift in its release schedule. Initially planned for release on September 7, 2024, to coincide with Ganesh Chaturthi, the release has now been postponed. The production company, Sithara Entertainments, officially announced that “Lucky Baskhar” will now hit theaters globally on October 31, 2024, aligning with the Diwali festivities.
The delay has been attributed to the filmmakers’ commitment to delivering a high-quality product. In a statement shared on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Sithara Entertainments emphasized that while postponing the release might impact their social media reputation, it was crucial for ensuring the film’s quality. They also mentioned their intention to release the film on a pan-India level, which includes ensuring quality dubbing in multiple languages.

“Lucky Baskhar” is directed and written by Venky Atluri and features Dulquer Salmaan in the titular role. The film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Hyper Aadi, and Surya Sreenivas. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film promises to be an engaging narrative set in the late 80s. The story revolves around a bank cashier whose life is dramatically altered after he comes into possession of an enormous sum of money.
The film’s music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, with Naveen Nooli handling the editing and Nimish Ravi in charge of cinematography.
