Jr NTR pay a visit to the NTR Ghat in Hyderabad to pay tribute to his late grandfather, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), on his 101st birth anniversary. NTR, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, is remembered as a legendary figure in Indian cinema and politics.
In a video shared by a paparazzi, Jr NTR was seen at the memorial, where he paid his respects with folded hands. His brother, Nandamuri Kalyanram, joined him in offering flowers at the memorial. Both brothers were also seen sitting on the floor at the memorial, reflecting on their grandfather’s legacy.
Nandamuri Balakrishna, NTR’s son and a prominent actor-politician, was also present at the ghat to pay his respects.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, affectionately known as NTR, was a multifaceted personality—actor, producer, director, editor, and politician. He served as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years and made significant contributions to Indian cinema, earning three National Film Awards for co-producing “Thodu Dongalu” (1954) and “Seetharama Kalyanam” (1960), and directing “Varakatnam” (1970). NTR also received the Rashtrapati Awards for his performances in “Raju Peda” (1954) and “Lava Kusa” (1963).
On the professional front, Jr NTR is gearing up for his highly anticipated film “Devara.” Directed by Kortala Siva, this action-packed film is set to release its first installment in October and features Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles.
In addition to “Devara,” Jr NTR is also busy working on Ayan Mukerji’s “War 2,” where he will share the screen with Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham. This film promises to be another exciting addition to his impressive filmography.
