Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, has become one of the highest-grossing films of all time and is running riot at the box office. Sukumar-directed film has been achieving huge success across languages, including Hindi. However, the film recently faced some off-screen challenges that stirred the headlines.
The film faced an unexpected hiccup when one of India’s largest multiplex chains, PVR INOX, removed all Pushpa 2 shows in North India. Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared this update on Thursday night, stating: > “BREAKING: Pushpa 2⃣ REMOVED✖️ from all PVR INOX chains in North India from Tomorrow.”

Apparently, it was an issue between Pushpa 2 producers and PVR INOX concerning contracts or revenue sharing. Still, hours passed, and everything went fine as Manobala posted: “BREAKING: Pushpa 2️⃣ PVR INOX agreement issue now resolved Shows opening slowly one by one ⏳” This is within a very short time after posting the controversy, which ensured the movie could continue ruling over screens. Thus, this ensures the mass success doesn’t come to an end.
Pushpa 2: The Rule has minted ₹600 crore just in two weeks in the Hindi belt, breaking records in every place. It stands at ₹1,508 crore internationally, states the production house, Mythri Movie Makers. Such huge collections depict the blockbuster trend it boasts of.
Amidst the euphoria, Allu Arjun got into a legal tangle. Actor Allu Arjun was reportedly arrested over a tragic incidence which took place during a screening of Pushpa 2 at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad earlier this month. A chaotic crowd had lined up to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun leading to a stampede that cost a woman her life.
Authorities took Allu Arjun from his residence, sending him to 14-day judicial custody. However, the actor was granted interim bail for 4 weeks by posting a personal bond of ₹50,000. The incident has caused significant concern regarding crowd control and safety during such high-profile events.
Directed by Sukumar, the sequel continues the story of Pushpa Raj, played by Allu Arjun, who locked himself in a gritty battle against his enemies. The movie also featured Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, enhancing the storyline of the film.
