Radhika Sarathkumar Gets Emotional About Suriya, Says ‘I’ve Seen His Struggles And Pain’

Radhika Sarathkumar praised Suriya at the Vishwanath & Sons success meet, saying she has seen his struggles closely and feels proud of how he overcame them.

Tamil actors Suriya and Radhika Sarathkumar share a close relationship that goes back several years. The two recently reunited on screen in Venky Atluri’s Vishwanath & Sons, which has reportedly performed well at the box office during its first week. At the film’s success meet, Radhika spoke warmly about Suriya and revealed that she has seen him go through difficult times in his personal life.

Radhika plays Suriya’s mother in Vishwanath & Sons. During the success event, she thanked director Venky Atluri and the entire cast and crew for their support. Suriya was not present at the event, but Radhika made sure to speak about him and praise the actor for the way he handled the difficult phases of his life.

Radhika said, “I feel way more connected to him as a family member because I’ve seen his struggles, seen the pain he’s been through. A lot of people have faced challenges in movies, but the real mental battles, that’s another level. Suriya overcame those struggles, and watching him closely, I genuinely feel proud when I see him.”

She also spoke about Suriya’s personality and said that the actor is not someone who easily shares his feelings with others. According to Radhika, Suriya is a private person who opens up only around people he trusts. She recalled being one of the people who was close enough to speak openly with him and even offer him advice.

Radhika added, “Suriya isn’t someone who talks a lot. He rarely opens up. He only really talks well with a select few people. I was one of the few close ones who talked to him a lot. I would tell him, don’t do it like this, do it like that.”

Vishwanath & Sons is directed by Venky Atluri and is also dubbed in Telugu. The film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Suriya plays Sanjay Vishwanath, a professional pistol shooter in his 40s who is trying to rebuild his life. Mamitha Baiju plays Maddy, a young woman who develops feelings for him despite their age difference.

The film also features Raveena Tandon, Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi and several other actors. GV Prakash has composed the music.

The film adds another successful project to Suriya’s recent career. It follows Karuppu, which became a blockbuster earlier this year despite facing last minute release problems. In Karuppu, Suriya plays Karuppusamy, a guardian deity who takes human form after being challenged by a corrupt lawyer. Trisha plays lawyer Preethi, who joins him in his fight to prove that justice can be achieved through fair means.

With Vishwanath & Sons also receiving a positive response, Suriya appears to be enjoying another successful phase, something Radhika clearly feels proud to witness.
