Ram Charan Fans Unveil Special Peddi Statue but the Internet Spots One Big Problem

Ram Charan fans unveiled a Peddi statue before the film's release, but its unexpected look sparked trolling and led to a public apology.

Actor Ram Charan’s fans wanted to celebrate the upcoming release of his much awaited film Peddi in a memorable way. To show their admiration and support, a group of fans from Kukatpally installed a large statue inspired by Ram Charan’s look in the movie. The statue was unveiled at Arjun Theatre in Kukatpally during a special fan event. However, what was meant to be a grand tribute quickly became a topic of discussion online for all the wrong reasons.

Soon after pictures and videos of the statue appeared on social media, many people began pointing out that it did not resemble Ram Charan. The statue was designed based on his character from Peddi, but several users felt it looked like someone else entirely. Some joked that it looked more like Malayalam actor Joju George, while others believed it resembled Telugu actor Naveen Chandra. A few even claimed that it looked closer to Ram Charan’s team member Pasupulati Siva, also known as Siva Cherry, than the actor himself.

The reactions quickly turned into a wave of trolling across social media platforms. Many users shared funny comments and memes about the statue. One user sarcastically asked whose statue it actually was, while others compared it to different actors and personalities. As the jokes continued to spread online, the issue attracted even more attention than the celebration itself.

Despite the criticism, Siva Cherry came forward to defend the fans who organized the event. He explained that the statue was created out of genuine love and respect for Ram Charan. According to him, people should focus on the effort and dedication behind the celebration rather than only criticizing the final result. As President of RC Yuvashakthi, he said he attended the event to encourage and appreciate the passion shown by the actor’s fans.

Meanwhile, the fans behind the statue also released a public apology. They admitted that the project did not turn out as they had hoped and acknowledged that the final result failed to meet expectations. In their statement, they explained that their only intention was to honor Ram Charan in a unique way. They also apologized to anyone who may have felt hurt or offended and clarified that they never intended to disrespect any beliefs or sentiments.

The incident comes just ahead of the release of Peddi, one of the most anticipated Telugu films of the year. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the movie stars Ram Charan alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani. With special shows and ticket price hikes already approved in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, excitement for the film remains high. While the statue may have sparked unexpected controversy, fans are now eagerly waiting for Peddi to hit theaters and see Ram Charan on the big screen once again.
