The teaser of Ramba Oorvasi Menaka, the upcoming Telugu film starring Allari Naresh, has been released. Directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada, the film combines fantasy and comedy and brings Naresh back to the kind of entertaining role that has been an important part of his career.
The teaser begins with a father telling his son about a mysterious family magic book. According to the story, the book contains a special spell that can bring three celestial nymphs from heaven to Earth. These nymphs are Rambha, Urvashi and Menaka.
The central character attempts to use the magic and waits for 25 years before his wish finally comes true. Rambha, Urvashi and Menaka eventually arrive on Earth. However, the hero soon discovers that bringing them to the human world is much easier than managing them.
The teaser uses this situation to create several comic moments. Allari Naresh appears to be playing a character who finds himself dealing with three extraordinary women while trying to make sense of the unusual situation. The story appears to use the fantasy setup as a way to create family friendly comedy and entertaining situations.
Surabhi plays the female lead, while Vennela Kishore appears as Indra, the lord of the heavens. Naresh VK plays Allari Naresh’s father. Raashi Singh, Vishnupriya and Prisha Singh portray Rambha, Urvashi and Menaka respectively.
The cast also includes Srinivas Reddy, Raccha Ravi and Muralidhar Goud in important roles. The teaser indicates that the film will balance its fantasy elements with comedy and family situations.
The makers announced the title earlier this year on the occasion of Allari Naresh’s birthday. The movie marks an important point in his career as it takes him back to comedy, the genre that helped establish him as a popular Telugu entertainer.
Ramba Oorvasi Menaka will be Allari Naresh’s 65th film. The movie is jointly produced by Razesh Danda and Nimmakayala Prasad under Annapurna Studios and Hasya Movies.
Raam Reddy is the cinematographer, while Chaitan Bharadwaj has composed the music. Brahma Kadali is the production designer and Chota K Prasad is handling the editing.
The film is scheduled to release worldwide on September 4 this year.
