Sony Entertainment Television’s beloved quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati season 16, continues to captivate millions across the country with its engaging gameplay and life changing opportunities. In the upcoming episode on 19th August, the show will feature Dr. Raghavendra, a Sanskrit professor from Bangalore, who steps into the hotseat with a dream to transform his mother’s life. While on the hotseat, he will not only demonstrate his knowledge but will also engage in many heartfelt conversations, as he goes on to express his deep fondness for Mr. Bachchan’s father and legendary poet, the late Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

Dr. Raghavendra is a distinguished Sanskrit professor, who takes extreme pride in representing Sanskrit. A devoted son and avid biker, Dr. Raghavendra’s journey to KBC is driven by a profound desire to provide a better life for his mother, who has been his closest companion and greatest support. His deep admiration for Harivansh Rai Bachchan, the legendary poet and father of Amitabh Bachchan, will also come to the forefront as he dedicates a Sanskrit poem in his honour, earning a warm smile from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.

In response, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan fondly reminisces about his father’s illustrious journey. With evident pride, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan shares anecdotes from his beloved father’s remarkable life — from his studies at Cambridge to his significant contributions to literature, including his dissertations, poems, and meticulous diary entries. In a touching revelation, Mr. Bachchan recalls how his father designed a unique table for himself where he could stand and complete his writing work.

He also shared how his father was requested by a big and influential personality to translate their autobiography into Hindi, a task Harivansh Rai Bachchan undertook with immense diligence, working tirelessly day and night. And, when he was working on the same, he used to put a painting outside the door which used to indicate that he is not supposed to be disturbed. Even though, it was tiresome, his father kept the translation process uninterrupted. Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s dedication and resolve triumphantly shine through these stories, offering a glimpse into the man behind the literary masterpieces.
