Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18 is set to begin with a star studded opening episode featuring Aamir Khan, Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol alongside host Amitabh Bachchan. The new season will open on Monday, 10th August, with Sunny Deol making his debut on the KBC hot seat.
The upcoming season has been built around the theme ‘Sochna Padega,’ which focuses on the importance of thinking carefully and using knowledge in practical situations. A new promo shared by Sony Entertainment Television gives viewers a glimpse of the interaction between Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
In the promo, Aamir asks Amitabh about the meaning behind the new season’s theme. He says, “Aapne kaha hain aapke promo main ‘Sochna Padega,’ toh kya sochna padega?” (You mentioned in your promo ‘Sochna Padega’ (You’ll have to think)… so what is it that one has to think about?)
Amitabh responds with his trademark humour and a serious expression, saying, “Itna aasan nahi honewala hain, kyunki sochna padta hai na bhaisahab.” (It’s not going to be that easy, because brother, one actually has to think)
Aamir quickly agrees with him and says, “Sochna Padega, Sir waakai sochna padega.” (‘Sochna Padega’… Sir, truly, one really will have to think)
The opening episode will bring together several well known faces, with Aamir Khan and Preity Zinta appearing alongside Sunny Deol and Amitabh Bachchan. Sunny’s appearance is particularly notable as it marks his first time taking the hot seat on the long running quiz show.
The new season will continue with the basic format of KBC, where contestants answer questions to move ahead in the game and compete for the prize money. The theme ‘Sochna Padega’ puts additional focus on the idea that knowledge alone is not enough and that contestants must also think carefully before choosing their answers.
The combination of Amitabh Bachchan’s hosting, celebrity guests and the new theme will set the tone for Season 18. The show will premiere on Monday, 10th August, at 9:00 PM on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
